Maybe one day, it will be able to refactor bad code into optimized one. And maybe one day, it will be able to take some request, like this pacman, and write code for it. And then, we'll have 2nd generation of AI... AI based on code written by 1st generation AI (which humans made). Once we get to 3rd gen AI, it will be over.

So, with enough footage and enough processing power, then, technically you could feed the AI footage of the latest yet to be released game and have the AI recreate it and spit out a playable version...

As far as i can read around on the web. 4 computers used top of the line quadros and watched 5000 hours of gameplay. They had to make a pacman AI to play the game so the other computers could watch the gameplay, but the computers never learned what happened when ghosts touched packman because the playing AI was to go at the game so it never happened. Funny calculation 500 watt average power x 4 computers watching = 2000 Watt total. 5000 hours watching x 2000 Watt power = 10,000,000 Wh 10,000 kWh x 0.29 $ electrical price = 2900$ to copy a relatively simple game. Hope they have cheaper electricity then i have at home. I hope my calculations are wrong.

So this is where research goes! Yet they can't keep GTA5 from crashing the driver. πŸ˜•

GTA doesn't crash the driver.

Combine it with an advanced predictive algorithm and we might get Half Life 3 in 20 years time!

Can someone feed one of these AIs all the equations of quantum physics and also the equations of Newtonian classic physics and get it to try and unify them - something that physicists have never been able to do yet.
