Color me impressed--that's actually not a terrible layout. I've done a few shoe box builds before, and easily the biggest caveat are the depths of the cases, giving them an unnecessarily long footprint. silverstone has/had something similar, but I remember it's internal layout being a bit off-putting. This doesn't look half bad, although I might opp for a low-profile air cooler instead.
