Well, we can be sure of one thing, it will be overpriced.

Well the original Tegra Tablet was priced pretty good, though with a higher resolution screen and better specs, this one will be more expensive, though I would guess less expensive than other android tablets like Samsung's S tablets

This exactly forces us to connect it to power supple all the time and use it as and alternative for PS4

Writing this on tablet with 4core A31, 2GB ram, 2048x1536 ips. But not on native android, I use remote desktop to W8.1, because android has trouble to display half of things properly and weirdly enough high upload allows me to play videos over RDP where any browser on android just chokes and dies. Any Android based device priced over 300$ is overpriced as cheapest 300$ intel tablet with win 8.1 will simply work better. May not be as powerful but content will work as designed. Therefore I simply do not see vital market for Tegra 4 / K1. And I really wanted it to work, but google killed it. That is why AMD has chance to get good piece of tablets if their new 4.5W tdp chips are as good as they seems to be. (this would not cut from nVidia much as nV market penetration is very low too) As people are waking up from this dream about android productivity use, they aim for something competent. x86 tablets/convertibles are 99.5% intel owned. So R.I.P. K1 and better luck next time with something not driven by google. We maybe need serious linux 4 arm development boost.

Why are tablets increasing their screen resolutions so high? A quality 1080p with a great pixel density would look fine and run better. My Nexus 7 2013 screen looks amazing and imo better then the Retina. Here's a good display performance review, showing just what I mentioned: http://www.displaymate.com/Tablet_ShootOut_4.htm

K1 is going to be hard to beat, wonder if they're releasing their Shield handheld with it.

Thought NVidia was pulling out of the mobile SoC market?

No, just phones. They are supposedly in the upcoming Nexus tablet by HTC and they are also in the Android TV dev kit.
