I might jump the gun and go for this one. hopefully pricing will be aggressive

Nvidia getting ready this throwaway cards before Navi comes in June and makes them absolete. 1650 will be a poor gaming card just like 1050.

I do get the impression that AMD often kick ass in that price bracket, so probably better to wait to see what AMD bring.

I'm concerned about Navi, AMD talked about Zen 2, showed the Zen 2 die and revealed some demos of playing games / benchmarks. they didn't say a single thing about Navi, not even the name. For Zen 2 and Turing gpus we get so many leaks, like this one found on some database but there's literally nothing about Navi, 0 leaks June is still 4 months away.... if it gets released on June.... probably lower end models will be by the end of the year. way too late at this point I might as well wait for 7nm Nvidia cards that will probably kick ass

Pricing will be mayby aggressive but this card performance will be defensive.

I mean a slightly better 1060 for 150$ I'd buy that.

Christ on a bike nvidia, your naming scheme is total sh!t these days. The 10 series, then the 20 series, then the 16 series...?

Don't count on that, what's going to be slightly better than a 1060 is the $230 GTX 1660 (which I'm expecting to be around RX 590 tier). While nothing is known about the 1650 specs wise (though there was a rumor of a 896 CUDA cores GPU months ago), I would expect it to be somewhere between GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1060.

If that's the case, it's a big nono from me... need to see more leaks for me to believe in 896 CUDA cores

128 bit upto 4GB VRAM ~80 WATT 1485 MHz (base clock) ...need to wait and see...

Worth noting that the 896 CUDA cores rumor was from a laptop GPU though, so there's a chance that could have been a cutdown TU117 and not the full GPU? Just saw in the comments in the videocardz article, someone made a good point about it being unlikely to be 896 CUDA cores. TU116 seems to possibly be 3 clusters of 512 CUDA cores (1536 total as seen in the 1660 Ti), so there's a possibility of TU117 being 2 clusters of 512 CUDA cores (1024 total), maybe...

If there is a 1650Ti, 1650 won't have 1060 performance (not to mention better perf). I would neither count for a $150 range, more like $200.

Rumors were pointing towards a $180 GTX 1650 and the 1050 Ti remaining available and getting a price cut, if that happens I don't think there'll be a 1650 Ti at all.

Considering you are currently boasting Intel UHD 630, any card would be a big upgrade. I guess most people here wouldn't be able to wait in your position since Intel iGPU is barely enough to run Terraria. Btw, we know even less of Nvidia's 7nm plans than AMD's. At least AMD already has one 7nm card out. But yeah, Nvidia's 7nm should kick major ass. The price is a different thing, though, judging by the RTX.

TBH I don't play much tripe A stuff. I got the 8400 when the Mining craze was going on and didn't want to pay 400$ for RX 580 but found out that I can actually have fun with iGPU. there are a lot of great indie games out there. however if I see a really good deal for a gpu i'll probably buy one just to avoid being limited....

Well done AMD with their Navi for making a "throwaway" Nvidia gpu obsolete. Clap clap.

Can't wait for the inevitable SKUs :P 1650 Ti 6 GB GDDR6 1650 2 GB GDDR5X 1650 3.5 GB GDDR5 1650 7 GB DDR4

Other than the weird 16xx you got to love the ti versions we might as well bet every time witch skus will get ti versions! 1060 got no ti but 1050 did 1070 did eventually 1050 did 1030 did not ...2060 and 70 did not 1660 seems that it will and 1650... Place your bets now!

This is nice to see. Also this will force AMD to launch Navi. Once Nvidia launch this with the 1660, AMD will have nothing to compete with Nvidia (Not even in the entry or midrange). Sad times for AMD... Can’t these guys work a bit faster??? Lol!
