That seems about 30 - 50 dollars to much.

GBP seems to be spot on compared to the US prices. £275 is £229.17 which is $296.78, while the Euro price of 319 is around $293. AiB cards work out around $257

That's about 20 Eur more than the 480. Solid

Add €100 to that price, just like the 1070 and 1080. Also the Founders Editions of the 1070 and 1080 are cheaper than the Custom Models here in Holland.

People are so naive when it comes to this prices, especially in EU. The card will cost 300€+ no doubt depending on the brand. It will end up 50€ more than rx480 not 20€.

so around NZ$600+ after gst and retail take, the same cost of a 970 and launch. Seems Nvidia gpus are going up by $100 every new release.

Well AMD refuses to answer with competing products.

In france gtx 1080 FE = 799e - Gtx 1080 custom = 829e Gtx 1070 FE = 499e - 1070 Custom = 549e I'm talking about " serious " custom , not Inno3d or armor msi ( its joke for me ) . I thought the custom be cheaper , not in my country . they said 699 USD for FE and 599 for custom , where ?

Well, it's faster than the 480 so you'd expect it to be more expensive

HH didnt review a card yet, we dont know that. Leaked FS score 1060 got 500 points more than rx480 with new driver.

Yeah, so it's faster. You don't really believe that Nvidia would release this card with less performance than the 480, do you?

According to the above, the custom boards of 1060 are estimated to have the price of 1,279 RON here in Romania, so basically ~283 Euro at today's exchange rate. Since the launch of RX 480, the AMD counterpart reached our stores at ~1400 RON, and that rolls at ~310 Euro. At the moment, the cheapest 970 which is the Phantom implementation hovers at 1339 RON, or 297 Euro. I don't even want to think about the bombshell we will have with 1060. Not saying that the fault is residing with either AMD on Nvidia on this, but it makes me wanna cringe and cry in a corner. Guess my 660 still has to serve for a while...

hmm cheapest RX480 is 271,50 atm. Looking forward how much actually Nvidia cards will be more.

It's going to be around 350 euros over here. I'd be very surprised if it wasn't. There's always more demand for Nvidia cards, so the stores will grab all the money they can get from the hasty people.

I am more concerned about that FE premium price tag and MSRP + promise of custom cards being cheaper. As that may happen in rare case of one cheaper manufacturer and their cards are not exactly available. If that what GTX 1080/1070 pulled off repeats with GTX 1060, we have trend at our hands to deal with. No reason to blame AMD or nVidia. AMD has their price and nVidia has theirs. While nVidia is pulling quick one on customer. None has to buy it and they'll not repeat same trick again for some time.

Keep in mind that NVidia removed SLI support, means they can afford to sell the card cheap without having 2 of them compete with it's bigger brothers.

Hehe, seeing someone from Finland posting about prices. Unlucky man, prices you got there are highest i've seen around. 🙁

£240 UK price is about the same as RX480. If they actually come out at this price it'll be very competitive. For 2016 gaming with a mix of DX11+DX12 it's fine. GTX1060 will be the better option if you have a lot non-DX12 games (which is the majority of games). Until DX12 makes a bigger impact, it's a great price/perf card.

Ofcourse, games can be made to cater for the strengths of a particular architecture. What's interesting is definitely these cross-platform games that would seemingly prefer gcn that didn't actually work out that way on PC. I don't think in reality the "console port" being faster on gcn is a clear-cut truth as many of these games aren't even really ports. Also, to gimp Nvidia in favour of AMD can be financial suicide for some devs. I like the fact a game like Doom offers good performance for both vendors. While games like Quantum Break are bad for everyone. Forza is a good example also...decent performance for both sides. Going forward, I hope devs optimise their games to run well enough without requiring high-end for 60fps. Devs should aspire towards continual improvement like Tomb Raider, instead of 2-3 patches and calling it a day.

FE should sell only on nvidia website, which means no price hikes I imagine
Yes but you will pay import duty which will bump up the price 😉 .
