I understand a company wanting to make a profit on everything it makes but sometimes you just got to suck it up and move on. Especially when you have just had a record breaking year where you couldn't even make enough product. So what if this generation of cards is selling poorly. That's hardly surprising given all the factors like pricing, economic downturn, and (supposedly, cause I don't see it in Europe) glut of used mining cards flooding the market.

They've put the prices so high it's no wonder sales are declining... What did they expect to happen?

Higher price indicates higher quality. Higher quality indicates higher sales :p

Guess I'll stay with the 4080 until the 4090ti then.

^ Everyone likes higher quality, but what good is it if most can not afford it... or just do not want to pay that much?

God forbid they lower prices so people can buy GPUs again and they don't see the dwindling demand. They want to sell 1 GPU at 500% profit when they could sell 5 at 200% profit, what do they want? Money. They can keep their low quality made in PRC GPUs. My Asus Dual is not good (undervolted to be alive) and my best friend had his die within a year. Warranty denied, paid full refund because of a major EU lawsuit. Fuck you Asus. Quality...MY ASS!!!

True for a lot of things in life. Doesnt make it bad or good. Just not for everyone.

With NGreedia`s shrinkflation when it comes to the name labling (example 4070 is in reality a 4060), the tiny memory size and bus width`s, and stupid high prices. then what do they really expect?

They expect you to buy their overpriced gpus and if you dont they'll limit the production instead of reducing the prices.

Low demand for overpriced cards? Shocking!

looks like 4090 will the the fastest for awhile 😀

RDNA4 releasing sooner than expected and 4090 isnt the fastest anymore. 🙄

Once upon a time we had a one year cicle for new GPU architectures. Now we have a two year cycle. Makes me wonder if this is the start of a 3 year cycle. With Moore's Law slowing down and GPUs becoming more complex, I wound not be surprised....

I would be happy with a 3 year cicle and my wallet agrees.

Ok but Q4 2024 only. 😛

They will probably release a Ti or super version near the end of this year or start of the next.

I agree. With smaller nodes becoming more complex and expensive it makes sense to have longer GPU cycles.

Maybe, maybe not. Mind you there are 4090Ti chips out there for awhile already, but it's selling under ADA RTX6000 (7000usd workstation GPU :/)

Not necessarily a bad thing in my opinion. Incentivizes developers to start optimizing their code. The annoying thing is by 2025, we can expect the prices to barely drop. Really gets me to wonder how much lower prices would be if GPU mining wasn't a thing.
