I maybe should of waited a week before buying my 1070, just seen an asus dual OC 1070 for £339 on amazon uk which last week that was around £380. Not sure if that price cut is due to this news but I expect other 1070 cards to fall in line around that while the 1080 goes for the 450-500 mark.

Maybe because the 1080Ti was released today?

Sweet .. if I didn't already have a 1070, I'd have bought a 1080 at that price.

So, if $1 = £1 as rip off pricing in the UK goes, we'll be seeing all 1080's drop by £100 in the UK then will we?

haha yea right, more likely they'll correctly convert the $1 to the £1 for the price drop

Guess im confused...my 1080 was 700 at launch. $100 cut should be 600 not 500? So its a $200 cut?

$1 has never actually = £1, but if you include tax it does appear 1080's are dropping by around £100 though. Cheapest pre tax 1080 on Newegg is $507 while Scan has one for £396.

cut $100 when released GTX 1080Ti and hopefully cut down again all GTX 10xx when Vega Released..

Not until Vega comes out, Nvidia has same politics like intel for inflated prices 🙂
For the money, I'd argue that Nvidia shows more performance increases than Intel. On the other hand, I feel CPU's last longer than GPU.

I am still waiting for 1080gtx hitting $499. Nothing on newegg is even close to that price unless you like refurbished.

I just noticed the cheaper ones are not new. It doesn't look like Newegg have dropped the prices then, as here in the UK they are down to the equivalent of $490.
