2070 Super is not a bad buy.
Almost as fast as the original 2080 non-super, definitely faster than the older 1080 Ti (but with less memory).
Still, not a worthwhile upgrade for High-end Pascal owners... but people with older generations might find it very appealing.
So a fancy cyberpunky RTX 2077 with that level of performance should sell very well, assuming they don't charge ridiculous amounts for it (going over the price of 2080/Super or something)

if you arrived till now with pre pascal cards, you wait at least the announcement of the 3000 serie and evaluate. today the rtx are still at or above msrp. Is it worth?
Unless your videocard break who did not buy a rtx till now is not gonna do with a special edition

2070Super level of a card wont run this game maxed out with raytracing so lets hope its something more powerful.

FFS... need a GPU with a HDMI 2.1 socket so i can run my LG C9 OLED @ 4k/120hz.

Yeah, it's going to require a new display controller though so I wouldn't expect it until Ampere. Kind of crazy though that the TV tech is ahead of the GPU tech.
Kind of wish HDMI died though. DP1.4 > I don't really see the purpose of HDMI anymore.

DP carries audio also. Assuming you do NOT have an Nvidia GPU with one of the affected monitors using drivers from September 2016 or newer with Pascal or Turing cards. :P
There is a several thousand pages thread about this in the NV official forums ongoing since September 2016 when Nvidia broke sound over DP on quite a few monitors. And issue was still there until July 2019 when replaced my 1080Ti with a 5700XT. (in 2016-17 had a GTX1080).
FYI the 5700XT works fine with that monitor delivering sound over DP at 2560x1440 @ 144hz. To do so with the 1080 & 1080Ti had to reduce the monitor to 100hz post September 2016 drivers. Drivers from August 2016 or older there was no issue.

while the game comes out rtx 2077 video card in game will run on medium quality settings, everybody knows how it works.
