Sweet. Having my next major upgrade planned for June, so availability should be fine then. Willing to pay €800 for it, about the same as my 980ti "back in the day" 😀 Maybe launch prices will be higher, but should also be stabalized byt then + nice 3rd party cards 😀

That's cool but unless I see a %50-60 increase im not gonna upgrade. Unless I can get a good amout for my 1080 and that might happen It would be an almost free upgrade. I would like to see 4k ultra min 60fps because I don't want to go the sli route. But this 1080ti will not deliver that performance so we will all wait.
Yeah, don't think that's gonna happen - looks like you'll be holding onto your GTX 1080 & I'm sure you can be happy about it! 🙂

Until Volta, the Titan XP is the best performance you can get. There is no way the Ti is faster, it would fly in the face of all the people getting them, since they have no extra compute benefit or anything.
Titan XP is only something like 20% - 30% faster than the 1080 on average isn't it? They didn't seem to care much about Titan owners the last few times, why stop now ?

For everyone who wants 60fps@4k, just do it like me, slightly reduce your eyesight (nothing major just less details the longer the range), play from slightly afar at 1080p. Seems like 4k and you can run it on 60fps with a 1060.

4K isn't just resolution. There's also HDR.
It's astigmatism then.

Is the banana for scale there?

I've always wanted an excuse to use that emoticon :P. Seriously though, I won't be too surprised if 1080ti ended up around the same or a little better than TXP. If the 1080ti isn't more powerful than the 1080 by at least 20% on average I don't think many would buy them.

What a shame for everyone in Canada though for pricing. This card will end up probably costing 1200 Canadian plus tax. Essentially, 1350 dollars or so. The dollar here is an absolute joke.
The only saving grace is that, at least by my opinion, other than Mass Effect there aren't a ton of games to get that excited about over the next 6 months. By the time some more worthwhile titles are out, the cost of the TI should be more reasonable.

the 1080ti would only be "better" than the titan xp out of the box because of the partner oems overclocking them stock. take an overclocked titan xp that's on water at 2100mhz and you've got a higher performing card still, in all forms.

Just a marketing trick. nVidia build like 75 pieces of it. One should be a damn noob (or a terribly disinformed fella) to buy this card, considering the fact of Volta being just 'round the corner. To buy a card at that price tag (200$ more than "regular" 1080) which will probably be Volta upper model's price tag too...

Volta is rumored for Q1 2018 at the earliest, which would put it a year from the 1080Ti release date, which is the same length of time between the 980Ti and 1080. I don't recall anyone calling 980Ti owners "damn noobs/terribly disinformed" for buying them.

Hilbert, can you post a list of recent games that successfully scale up with 1080's in SLI? Not much point in buying two if they don't generally scale up.

40% faster than 1080?seems too much.40% faster might be the next gen,but for Ti?would hope but dont think so.

It's more like 30% faster taking in the alleged count of cores.

How about 1080Ti Vs. 980Ti SLI ? What should i except in fps if i change to 980Ti SLI to 1080Ti ? Quite the same fps but smoother (if possible any advance with G-Sync), maybe. Need 165fps at 1440p so in many cases 1080Ti SLI is ok, or 4k and 120hz...

You probably won't hit 165FPS in everything but, I imagine you'll be good for 120+ on average. No one can give a definitive answer until it's out and sites bench such a setup.

Jep right, but as said, around +30% compared to 1080 it might be close to 980Ti SLI. And some watercooling + OC i hope 1080Ti is at least even or better. We'll see soon 🙂

@nudedude You dont "need" 144hz, you "want" it... ;-) There's only a 0.01% chance, but i would like to see a volta Ti launch (if if its just on paper), and get some specs/release info for volta..

@nudedude You dont "need" 144hz, you "want" it... ;-) I got 165Hz, and i want + need it for sure 🙂 But at least when 4k & 120Hz screens arrives we need 1080Ti SLI. Quite expensive playing then, if on top of that wanna you be (says Yoda).
