I imagine to get that fictional certification they would need a wired gigabit backbone between nodes. I can only imagine how badly GeForce Now would work on a Wi-Fi only mesh network - the packet loss alone would kill any chance of getting a decent stream, let alone the horrendous latency.

I occasionally use geforce now over my home WiFi and DSL connection, not had any issues so far. That's using a nvidia shield.

streamed 1440p with geforce now/Shadowplay regularly over the last couple months for roughly 2hours sessions over 5Ghz wifi, no problem.

More marketing bullshit. Just a Novidia seal of approval for $200 more price. Yeah, keep reinventing the wheel and take money from people who have pride and accomplishment for their hardware. Maybe add DLC content or unlockables for their routers, they gonna love it. IEEE standards are joke now?

I'll give mine. It is BS. AMD's new driver streaming had initial launch with android app crashing upon connecting to PC. But now, I have 50ms latency outside of my home with 15Mbps upload going from one VPN to another VPN. Before that I had like 70ms with steam streaming. If one wants to use it, then router is not an issue. Some packet loss? Is nVidia using UDP and are really those routers so bad? Even my old router with 54Mbps wifi, 100Mbps LAN, 1000Mbps WAN ports has no packet loss. And it was dirty cheap.

right here, right now Google is selling mesh routers and has a game streaming platform (featuring Assassin's Creed Origin) in selected markets (to minimize latency). the Google mesh router is dirt cheap...to further sales...Nvidia doesn't have that kind of cash, so they're going for marketing fees from router manufacturers.
