Why? They're no longer a ''graphics'' company.. :P

Bring it . Can't wait for the 7800xt to drop the price. Only thing Nvidia bring to the table is DLSS and maybe maybe RT performance. But RT can be disabled. We all remember the physics fiasco.

They just remembered they were, because people stopped buying their overpriced, closed sourced driven toys.

Has never been a Physx fiasco.

Buy or dont buy, hate or dont hate, embrace the tech or dont. Newer and faster costs more than older and slower, its always been that way. People pay for a 4090 for no other reason than they want the best performance for their hobby/job.

If it was always the way, 4090 would cost 10k usd and your CPU as well, both possibly much more. Its nonsense. Just not true. Its called improving efficiency in the economy, and it is one of the major laws governing everything around you.

I dont think it is competing with the 7800XT at all. the 7800xt is €600 now. I do not think the 4070 super will cost around that price.

Cost is neither a law, nor does it govern. Stop looking at ratios and absolutes, you expose your thinking this way, its the underlying keyboard warrior trait. What you think should happen, what common sense says should happen, and what actually happens, are all very different. A more desirable item be that a car, house, GPU, watch, an anything, will always be more expensive than a less desirable thing. The actual thing doesnt actually have to be better than the thing it replaced or superceeded, just more desirable. Im not trying to justify current prices, or even previous or future prices, im just not going to rant on a forum about them, because it achieves nothing.

Nice try to come with a smart reply but user HybOj is 100% correct and you are just shilling for corporations. Comparing GPU to a car or a house... kindergarten level mental gymnastics. Also, why are you ranting about others ranting on a forum? It achieves nothing, like you said. Be true to your word man.

I though 4070 Super will carry the original 4070 price so 599$ thats a direct competitor to 7800xt. I guess we'll see soon enough.

They said that Nvidia was no longer "just" a graphics card company and that has been true for the last 15/20 years. We can pick on Jensen Huang for a lot of things, but not this one.

The level of intensity of Huang picking seems to be directly tied to misconceptions about corporate behavior and current compensation from employment.

Some people feel like they have ownership of a corperate concept. We all know what happens if a tech company doesn't move with the times,or any company for that matter, the boardroom at Blockbuster? "Films on demand over a phoneline ha ha ha ha, never gonna happen"

People don't want to be taken out of their angry place and think about improving their own situation, they rather blame something else.

😱 😱 😱 😱 alas poor yorick (Europe) these are $520-$550 US for excellent variants, while the rtx4070 is $600 US for crappy variants even if Nvidia dropped the price of the super, i don't see it at or below $575. the 7800 is still better

idk about that. a lot of folks channel "pride goeth before a fall" and there's a lot of pride there - both rightfully and arrogantly. to me he is what he is. and he has been doing what any public company ceo has to (or should) be doing - creating value for the shareholders. i don't always like it or agree with certain decisions, but as a shareholder he has been good for me.

people on forums telling the CEO of a $1.2 trillion company (which he started on his own) that he needs to be more humble.... sheesh if only he had read it, the company would have been worth $5 trillion by now, like theirs.

Maybe I can't read then. https://www.guru3d.com/story/nvidia-no-longer-a-graphics-company/ ''CEO [Jensen] sent out an email on Friday evening saying that everything is moving to deep learning and "We're no longer a graphics company".
