I assume that's Titan 2? There's not really any room for more if that's the Ti 😀.

I have a bad feeling, that AMD and nVidia will stay on 28nm this year...
I think AMD will be 20nm and Nvidia will be 28nm. Thing is with AMD's 28nm it runs hot as we all know. Nvidia nailed 28nm with Maxwell, something which AMD do not have therefore i reckon for AMD to come back they need to be on 20nm as ive said before. If there on 28nm then they need to produce a miracle.

That will be Titan 2,a better version, the Ti,will be released 6 months before Pascal or maybe sooner depending on what AMD will have.

AMD dumps TSMC 28nm HP in favor of GloFo 28nm SHP. They already shown improvement in APUs as they have made them on both nodes. 28nm SHP suits more to way AMD designs their stuff. Next GloFo cards even at 28nm will bring "free" improvement even on same architecture. I would like to see some article which describes what kind of devices with what TDP are those mythical 20nm made for, because I think both nV and AMD can use that to make smaller mobile chips at best. And even if 20nm provides 15% improvement in clock or power consumption, it would still be quite pricey to move from currently used 28nm which are close to peak performance.

3dmemory will lower that heat & power consumption.

Well the Quadro graphics cards are professional ones, expect to pay ALOT, so for the highest one asuming it's around the same price as the existing ones or somewhat higher then the price would be around $5500 dollars atleast.

I just hope nvidia doesnt limit the full memory to the titan only like the did with the 780ti

Of course they will, who would buy a $1000 video card with 3gb of vram. The extra vram and dp somewhat justified the price price of the titans.

Yeah, if Quadro has 12gb then normal Geforce GM200 6gb for sure.

@NamelesONEMail just slap on one of the arctic coolers (2 or 3 fan) and you can "keep" your card. the newest one (II) will also work for gtx900 series, if you switch gpu later...

So it's only a 31.6% increase in in gpu processing power if you are not in a memory bandwidth constrained situation, which i believe is usually true, unless your running 4k, then it's less than a third increase in performance. I think this leaves the gate wide open for AMD to do something great with the 390x and beat out nvidia on performance. But even if they do, if it's with a power hungry hot card and as bad as the 290x it will have to really really beat nvidia on performance for me to accept all the heat and noise, like greater than 20% average performance over a buncha games. Don't really care about the price difference not worth letting a couple hundred dollars, at most, get in the way of getting the overall best card. I hope guru3d does a really good 390x vs gm200 article. I'm sure this is what everyone is waiting for. To finally be able to support my beautiful 30 inch dell 2560x1600 resolution properly will be a joy.

Noticed a small typo Hilbert. 980 244GB/sec should be 224.

I just hope they will be massive performance wise, because I'm sure that price wise they obliterate everything. 😀 I'm very happy with my cheap 970s, best bang for buck in YEARS, on the other hand I realise that they are by no means the best nvidia has in their stock. If the performance is worth it with the new cards, I'll have no problems upgrading. *except if we are talking Titan Black/Z $ numbers, I'll be forced to pass in that case :P

I'm looking forward to the new Titan, I may even go back to sli time will tell. 🙂

Its 100% guaranteed to be in that price range.

titanZ can be had for around £1100, so yeah it's had a massive price reduction for a good while now. if i was rich i'd have one.

I know, I know, I was hoping for 780Ti price, but you are most likely right. :O

My new SLI is coming. 😀

takes almost a year after release to go to 780ti price

i have a bad feeling only gonna see 30% performance gain in games that aren't memory bandwidth starved. Fir a 1000 dollar thats just too rip off ish. I think 700 is the most i will pay and thats for a higher end aftermarket version with custom pcb's and coolers. And the consumer ones are going to be 384bit 6GB which combined with maxwells larger cache and lower need of memory bandwidth it should be plenty to run my 2560x1600 60hz at 60 FPS+ on a single gpu ultra settings I hope. Less AA needed at higher rez's. I guess whatever does 1600p resolution the best without giving off insane heat and power draw will be my next gpu. I really want to run 1600p with single card and get 60 fps and majority of games till the big gv/gp200 volta/pascal comes out. Nowadays gpu's are the only thing worth replacing every couple years but my 5870 is like thomas the tank engine I think I can I think I can. Yea you can but it sucks running non native 1920x1200 damnit
