Sounds like Big Maxwell! And looks like low Power Consumption judging by a single 8 Pin.

Note - that is a reference image of a quadro card, not the upcoming one !

Yeah thanks for pointing that out! But it still smelled like big Maxwell judging by the rumored amount of CUDA Cores in it.

So basically 1.5 x the 980.

I am sooo tired of these rumors ... AMD with 4GB VRAM 1024bit 1000+GB/s bandwith (last time I bothered to check) .. nvidia with X and X and X ... etc ... you get the ideea ... I absolutely HATE that both of these companies are incapable of TELLING us the general performance numbers ... I mean , I bet that these cards are 80-90% complete and they are just working out the last kinks ... My current GTX 780 ASUS DirectCU2 is having issues ... ignoring that its not enough performance for a 1440p monitor the second fan (closest to the power delivery) is dying (making click-clack noises as if it were hitting someting-which it is NOT!!) which means I WILL HAVE TO buy a new card soon since I rather doubt I could survive the 5-30 working days (most likely 30) that its takes for them to settle the cards RMA ....

Would seem like it - less of a difference between gm204 and 210, than between gk104 and 110... at least on paper 🙂

Just do it, your CPU has integrated GFX, fine for watching videos and surfing the web, use that until you get a working card.

Quad sli review when Hilbert?

Yeah ... I know it does have it ... BUT ... its a sandy bridge CPU with Z77 motherboard ... WILL it even work ? But that's not the main issue .. the main issue is that I play World of Tanks(and other..) daily ... soo ... what happens if I have to go 30 days without it ? I WOULD DIE !! 🤓 xDD

Companies love to keep tight lipped and let the wave of speculation and rumor take hold. Its what keeps us interested in their products. Why would you go 30days without the card? ASUS replaced mine in 4days.

If Nvidia/AMD told us the specs and stuff, then no one would buy the current cards and would just wait for the next ones.

If those specs are accurate think we'll have a card that can pretty much blow away any game in 1440p! Which is what I'm after next year for a single GPU based mATX or Mini ITX build that I want to do! Looking forward to its release and Hilberts review 🙂

Llike i said a good while back, " I will take a 12Gb Titan over anything else".

My next card must be able to play most games(95%) on highest settings or around it, on 1440p at least. 4K is still 2 years from being mainstream at all fronts... GM200 sounds very sexy.

Why on earth would they release detailed performance data to the public weeks or months before the cards are ready to hit store shelves? Doing so would kill the sales of cards currently on store shelves and leave 3rd party card manufacturers and retailers with unsold product that will require a price cut in order to sell. Typically price cuts are initiated by nVidia/AMD, and the reduced wholesale cost is then passed to consumers. The last thing NV/AMD wants is to is burn their partners by leaking these stats, resulting in retailers having to cut the price of cards they paid full freight for because that can result in a loss or at best breaking even. NN/AMD have a vested interest in protecting their partners from this, which is why they're so strict about NDA's.

Ditto. I think I will go for one under water and be good for a while. The 670's are showing their age.

Cause I live in Romania and stuff likes this happens ALL the time ... especially with online shops (of which there are only 2 still around) ... they give you trouble if they can ... PS: my 780 is one of the very first to come out and altough its labelled as an OC-ed model its barely 889Mhz on the core ... don't even know if they have it anymore ... and I paid for it full price (the price the 780 Ti got launched at) .. soo I'm pretty sure they are not gonna want to return the money or replace it with a similarly priced product (aka - 980 ... ) EDIT: Andrew LB => ok , I did not think of it that way BUT I'm pretty sure that the people who want the best/newest will still wait with or w/o the specs if the release date is just 1-2 months away ... I for one WILL wait regardless cause I want a GPU capable of playing games maxed out (with or w/o AA) at 1440p for at least 2 years. I mean , regardless of how much more powerfull the new cards are everyone knows they will be more powerfull ... knowing the specifics will only make people happy. Those that would have bought the 900 series will still buy the 900 series regardless of information avaible.

Would have expected at least 8 tflops compute not only 6.2..

I have a bad feeling, that AMD and nVidia will stay on 28nm this year...

Yeah me too! Hoping when I do my new build at least the K editions of Broadwell will be out and Windows 10! All in a small form factor build with a couple of dual rads
