I will not troll about the "on shelf" date that will be more "in miner's hands"... I am not like that 😀

I have to wonder, do miners really need such a meticulous spectrum of models? 3060, 3060 Ti, 3070, 3070 Ti, 3080, 3080 Ti, 3090. Seven different models.

3070ti should have atleast 10gb. This is like fifth rumor on these cards. I dont think we'll ever see them.

These should be great for miners. I'm sure they already have deals made with distributers and the cards are already spoken for. Out of stock weeks before release CONFIRMED. I don't expect gamers to have a chance until mid 2022 to be honest, maybe later. It's going to be the 4000 series for most of us I think.

I think @Hilbert Hagedoorn needs to read his news post again when he's fully awake, and correct the many typos 😛

I don't see the point of a 8gb 3070Ti. The whole point of a Ti was to give more Vram than the standard model but obviously not.

So true, and the very few samples that will make it to retailers will be at extreme scalper prices. Only a miracle could bring down the crypto market hard enough for the miners to stop caring.

the TI is not necessarly about VRAM a 3070ti with 10 gigs has the same memory bus of a 3080, and a 380ti with 12 gigs will have the same memory bus of a 3090. I assume the 3080ti will perform identically to a 3090.

This. Also, of the few that actually will end up being produced, probably 75% never leave China because they're mining.

'On shelf' 🙄 I guess that means that they keep 1 of each card themselves sitting on a shelf.... 🙂

2070 Super for me until, realistically, next year. It's strange to effectively have no real interest in reading/watching anything computer related because of the current pricing/availability situation. There's no point, really, in reading about things that are unavailable. Strange times!

Nice, more cards we can´t buy anyway... Just what we needed!

4000 series? Ah. Those are gonna be for miners as well.

I went to go look for new "gpu" yesterday could not find single new gpu anywhere for MSRP price all sold out anything I could find was scalp prices, im sure it will much of same with these. GPU manfuacture are effectively doing nothing about for OBVIOUS reasons and Governments and are not do anything about this either use there in on mining stuff too. How ironic the Gamers gpu cant even be bought by them anymore less the want to pay 2/3x the actual price Worse time to be PC game in history with no signs of it letting up.

hello every , you wana know where are all the high-end cards are ended up in third world country's ,yes that's right i live in iran and there are huge amount of high-end cards are being sold at a price of a car this prices are unbelievable and most of card models are 3070 rtx 3080 and rtx 3090 and they are advertising them as mining cards and not a gaming card. i don't know how they got their hand on this amount of cards , I'm talking about more then 1000 boxes of cards in one place. what a dirty world we live in. honestly

I can see where a 3070ti would come from - the "perfect" test bin. The standard model has 46 SMs for 5188 cores so enabling two more gets to 48 SMs and 6144 cores. I'm not sure how that would work for the 3080ti though. It has 68 SMs for 8704 cores. What the next bump up be? If it's enabling another cluster of four then 72 SMs would be the next step and 9216 cores. That would be suitable for my purposes but when one can't can't buy it how much does it even matter?

Wasn´t the 3080TI announced with shader core full expansion GA102-300? Don´t know anymore, too many RTX30...variants. Anyway, regarding card prices, we are getting close to Workstation Ampere RTX A6000....
