In a couple of months time the wealth will be measured by owned VGA cards.
When I had purchased my 2080Ti exactly 2 years ago it felt a bit stupid spending £800 on a used VGA.
Today I feel somehow different with my investment 🙂
I can only hope it will work until this cr@p is over...

who bought the 1080ti at msrp before the mining craze in march 2017 did the best deal. Still fine 4 year after.
I bought it nov 2018 for msrp on a travel and still feel like i did good.

I'd rather stop playing games entirely than pay the current prices. I've some lousy card of bygone technology in a box somewhere, if this (also ancient) 390 of mine kicks the bucket.
Apparently 650-700 euros for a 3060 Ti hasn't been too much for miners, seeing how those cards are gone now, but there are still some 1000 euros 3070s left. 3090 for a trifling sum of 2500-2700€ doesn't seem to attract miners so much either.

These news are really misleading. You guys really don't know the reality out of Europe and North America. Hardware prices in other countries always have been 2,5 to 3 times the MSRP, i'm talking US dollar price, not its national currency. For example, a RTX 3080 here in Brazil costs, at least, US$ 1350,00; and it always have been this way.
EDIT: Concluding, we have always paid extra for it, this is due taxes not the hardware makers.

if you could uncap the framerate I'd buy a series x.but what is the point of having a console that can do 50 fps if you're forced to play at 30. that's just stupid.

I wanted a 360 ti or a 3070 card to replace my old 1070, but with the prices they are selling for, I think I will wait a month or two. Prices on used cards are high, so mabye i will sell my 1070, and only use the cpu build in gpu, and buy a new GPU when the shortage is over. Just have to fininsh Cyberpunk first 🙂
