GTX 970 980 are too good, and nvidia can't provide all this chocolate, need more overlords 😀

192 bit with 3GB memory I'm betting.

That seems reasonable with 10 active clusters.

High 970/80 sales or poor yields ? 😉

Too much to sale, and not enough minerals 😀

Probably combination of poor yields and being able to make more on higher end cards.

lack of competition done this.

Spread the earnings into next year.... They know the 960 will sell.

Waiting for it. 🙂

What sucks about this is that even more users may purchase a 970 which means even less stock unless they are on a budget. Right now you can't even get a 970 or 980 in the States they are sold out every where I checked. Does anyone know if Nvidia has a shortage of 970s or 980s?

Yes they do. they didn't anticipated that much sales, that one of the reason 960 was delayed.

28nm has been around forever.. TSMC is at like 90% and there isn't a silicon shortage or any other reason for production problems. I think the article got it right, there is no reason for a 960 atm, Nvidia can push users toward higher premium 970/980s.

Anyone have a link or article on how Nvidia managed to lower the power consumption so much on the same 28nm process? Something I would like to read.

Oh Ok. Thanks for the info.

I agree.
As do i, no need for the 960 yet, as the 970/980 are doing the business for them, selling like hot cakes.

I totally agree with this. Since all of the 970s and 980s are sold out on newegg among other places here in the States. I also I have no need for the 960 nor 970 hopefully since I think I solved my issues with my r9 290 tri-x card.
