this looks like it will be a fail gtx x60 card this time. I think the the last good x60's where the 460 and 560 when overclocking a gpu was fun with real voltage controls. Even this 670 i have now was a real dissapointment when i first got it till custom bios' came out and it was better but still not as fun.

128bit memory interface? better be damn high clock speeds then.

1/3 the size of the minimum gpu one should buy for decent gaming these days, and 1/3 the amount of vram games are starting to ask for high textures, no nvidia upgrade for me again.

My GTX460 1GB was a disappointment, but seeing my 560Ti clock just beyond 1ghz was very satisfying. NVidia should have shuffled their entire product line from the 660 down, 1 notch lower. Then they wouldn't have had to use Fermi chips on some of the GT640 and lower.

GTX 980 is not the minimum decent GPU, and 960 will be larger than 1/3 of 980 My guess, something like 250 mm2 Which does not matter anyway; all that matters is performance Don't care about 128bit either, but I would avoid 2 GB

Gtx970 already struggles in games like dead rising 3, evilt within, assassins unity, Shadows of Mordor with ultra textures, project cars... and more to come.

Struggles? heck even my 280X is doing fine. Not everyone cares about ultra settings or extreme AA levels.

^ I think some people like alot of aa but i find too much just blurs everything making it worse.

In the sense of failing to give the real 60fps experience, forget about super sampling or msaa, or resolutions higher than the now mainstream 1080p.

Only post processing AA (such as fxaa or smaa) will blur the Picture - true AA (such as msaa or ssaa) will NOT blur the Picture.

That is right, with these new games nobody can say a gtx970 has power to spare so forget about such stuff. This 960 better be dirt cheap, specially considering it´s arriving a bit late and lots of people already threw their mainstream budgets into a ssd or a monitor.

Literally ANY card struggles with AC:Unity.

C'mon guys, this is a rebranded higher specced 750ti. Don't expect much, all there left to discuss is price.

lol? By that logic literally every 900 series card is a "rebranded higher specced 750ti" srsly?

When you look at it both cards are 2GB/128bit, gtx960 will have only more SP. Still, this card wont be even close to 970.

It's not a rebranded GTX750Ti. It's a different GPU. GTX750Ti uses a GM107 GPU whereas the GTX960 will use a GM206.

Reading comprehension. I didn't mean it literally, I was referring to how the 960 will perform and fit in the market. (Budget/performance)

It can only be understood in one way. A rebrand uses the same GPU. You're looking for the word "successor".
