It's roughly equivalent to a 980Ti @ 1500Mhz. So basically they added 300mhz and removed 10% of it's cores (if the clock speed is correct). 25-30% faster then a stock 980Ti. I'm sure it will ship with some other marquee features to sweeten the deal for 980Ti users. But as it stands it essentially looks identical the 780Ti --> 980 upgrade.

That's... quite underwhelming. Can't wait to see some official results though

Nice find , seems to me that will be a monster overclocker of a card , i know my Team Captain of my hwbot team Kingpin will get this VGa to around ~3000 Ghz 😀

Eh, I don't know about underwhelming, it's not overwhelming either. Basically just whelming. Most people here expected it to be about 25% faster than a 980Ti and that's basically what these numbers show.

Depending on the price, this looks very very nice. But I suspect it will be at $500 again and presented as a deal somehow. It's curious how it's so slower than the 980Ti per clock, my guess is that it has less hardware on. We need an in-depth on Pascal architecture to see what's really going on. If my guess is correct, this is a slightly tweaked Maxwell at 16nm.

So basically 1070 will be something like gtx980 1500mhz performance. That would not be bad at 300-350$.

Let's hope for lower, this is the one I'm considering getting (along with big Polaris).

Well if this cards sells for 499€ then im buying.

I feel like $500 for this card is fine. It's a new node, with unknown yields, a new memory technology, and it's 25% faster then the $650 980Ti. Plus Nvidia will probably ship it with some new features most people won't use. VXGI type stuff or whatever. They always ship their cards with a bunch of value-add stuff. Also you don't have to guess, just read the white paper on GP100, it is basically identical to Maxwell. They just doubled a few things here and there (register size) and increased cache's and did some under the hood work for unified memory/NVLink. The scheduler got slightly upgraded as well. But yeah, for the most part it's just a 16nm Maxwell. Its rumored to have 10% less cores than a 980Ti and they aren't even sure if that clock speed report is accurate. It seems reasonable (given GP100's clock speeds) but who knows.

If that clock speed is correct then headroom will be lower You shouldn't expect 30% like on gm200.... That would put you at 2400mhz and roasting plastic territory I'm gonna wait until tomorrow to decide, but it looks like I'm canceling the sale of my 980ti

So i guess the 1080 Ti will spank the 980 Ti pretty hard by the looks of it.

Yeah, if by spank you mean match then yes, that is correct Woops, didn't see the Ti We already know how the 1080ti will look 😉

There doesn't appear to be a 1080Ti in the works, so no. All rumors now point to the 1080 being full GP104. It's possible that Nvidia will use cutdown GP100 chips as a Ti variant but that would be terrible branding, considering it would essentially have to come with HBM2.

I doubt they will too die space wasted on fp64 I expect a variant with cut down dp and same amount of cores Same ratio of SPs as 980:Tx BTW, this puts gp104 at 2560 and gp10x at 3840

That will be a $1.500 Titan with 16GB of HBM 2. And probably Q1 2017, if that.

No it's likely just a scaled down GP100 Pascal using 4 GPC clusters instead of 6. The full sized GP100 isn't coming to consumers this year. I did up a spreadsheet of the likely specs we'll see... of course we won't know until tomorrow. The 3DMark leak could be someone trying to fake a benchmark. :\ Based on that leak it showed boost clock up to 1.8Ghz! Wow http://i.imgur.com/bx9JQLX.png

I'm willing to bet the pascal Titan will launch before Vega It wont be GP100 though I also doubt gp104 has half-rate dp...

Yeah, I agree, I don't think we will see it until mid next year though or something. Idk, whatevs, I guess we will find out everything tomorrow.

I mean if they know the chip needs to be cut before the HBM mounting they can just pair it with less and go for a cheaper price. It's definitely possible it will be $1500, but if its like ~75% faster than a 980Ti and it's got HBM2 and it comes out this year, I can see people paying $1500 for it. But I do agree with Ieldra, it seems weird that they would waste die space on FP64 for a gaming card. I think Nvidia is rich enough to spin multiple cards out. Not to mention that TSMC is probably dying for contracts on 16nm with Qualcomm abandoning them.

If they simply scale gp104 up by 50% they'll only be at around 450-500mm Very doable, 3840 SPs on Titan You know if a 1060ti is announced and is releasing soon then this will be the first time In practically forever that nvidia covers all price brackets and AMD no
