Looking forward to seeing HFTS and VXAO in more games, those two techs look amazing. Hopefully VXGI will follow too.
The performance increase with rigid bodies sounds good, can't wait to try it out. Flow is one I've been looking forward to since they first shown FlameWorks.
Hope to see the UE4 GW branch updated soon.

Any chance they might be phasing it down slowly, since it seems that DX12 hardware will have much more similarities between vendors?

is that so? I'm now interested in finding a single purehair on/off visual comparison for anything other than on Lara.
maybe they limit number of simultaneous monkeys utilizing hairworks. the "furmark ball type of fur" is used when simulated hair is turned off.

As for FC4, I was in one mountain part, idk first 30 - 45min gameplay or so and by one guy who had monkeys around him and they literally disabled it on 2 monkeys (becazse it was to demanding enable don all 4 lol) and even on enabled it looked like crap - yeah like on that video, not realistic at all. Same thing in Witcher3 and his hair..
Don't get me wrong NV hair can be ok (tech demos), but its just not efficient enough like TressFX, no wonder they opt for TressFX instead of purehair by new TR even though its a gameworks game, kinda says it all.

check this nvidia guide, they specifically mention that purehair is applied solely to Lara, and then discuss other techniques used for humans as well as animals and fur-lined coats "without the dynamic movement of Lara's PureHair".
the added interactive comparisons also make it quite clear.
point stays, those other characters in tomb raider, while looking fine, have nothing to do with TressFX.
Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have been modifying their own version of tressfx for a long time now, obviously they'd use it for their games if it fits the purpose.
it doesn't say anything about hairworks though.
