Never seen Nvidia try so hard to keep its products in the news, its "oh look dont worry we have plenty of stock to come" which is a bit strange as those chips say Qual sample is that therefore a production run or just a sample run before full scale production? Rumours of poor yield from Samsung may well be true hence the delay, however I suspect thats to allow Nvidia to release the 3070 at the right price after AMD releases its new cards

I really hope AMD knocks it out of the park with their pre release event and then a proper release, it'll be a coup for them if they can get their stuff out before Nvidia supply picks up because how this 'release' has been is a complete sham. Pretty clear its a supply issue more than a demand issue

Yeah. Someone sees a box of chips "here there is stock for all".... Not enough for a single store in reality šŸ˜›

I think a lot of us want that, but I fear AMD won't fair any better. They have both consoles and also the RyZen 3 processors to share wafers with. That will stretch TSMC output a bit.

In the end it's the price that matters.

The announcement was 1 month ago, 3080s launched 2 weeks ago, and there are barely any cards available to buy on the market. It's hard not to call it a paper launch, IMO
