Do you listen to yourself? There will be an instances where difference is 50% between 4060ti and 4070 just like the difference in memory capacity. For 400$? No thanks.
LOL, 4070 is 50% more expensive, what wrong with being 50% slower in those few and easily avoidable instances (lower a single setting, big deal 🙄)

Don't lie to yourself, when you enable FSR, that crap is even more detriment to image quality than lowering texture quality hahah

Take some screenshot in Dead Space remake and tell me that FSR still give you Ultra Texture image quality 😀

Dont know how FSR and VRAM got dragged in to this. Anyway, FSR is some new titles is really not an option if you care about Image quality.

prices have skyrocketed for 3 years now because of "limited inventory" and suddenly we learn that they have an inventory that they do not know what to do with. And the prices are still 2x-3x what they were until the 2000 series. How is that for capitalism and consumer power?

They are unable to sell directly to miners like they had done for a few years, since ethereum can no longer be mined on video cards....... hence the situation they find themselves in.

Hold the line gentlemen, the nKraken starts to shiver.

If you can't play at your display's full resolution, FSR is a nice free way to make it look a little better, but it shouldn't ever be used as an excuse to get a lower-end card and expect to upscale at nearly-max fidelity. It also should never be only-enabled in hardware reviews (but I feel the same about DLSS in that regard).

What about Hell Ti?

Something i dont understand though with those complaining about new card prices, if you play your favourite game at 144hz on your current equipment, that performance doesn't change with that favourite game irrespective of how much the latest hardware costs. I can play Metro EE at 120fps now, in 10 years time on this rig il still be able to play it at 120fps.
Yeah, and perhaps some of us want to play something other than Metro for a decade. Some of us already have a GPU that is nearing 10 years old. I want to upgrade but it's BS what my options are after all this time.

oh no... anyway...

*shrugs* Jensen can get bent with the present atrocious pricing, I wish them only the worst. I could make use of 24gb vram, but I'm content to wait for 3090 used pricing to hit $600...

Give them away for charity, disabled gamers or something.
Does being financially disabled count?

I honestly thought this was a consequence of both Nvidia and AMD underreporting their expected earnings from crypto to shareholders, and looking to shore up the difference whilst trying to capitalise on scalper costs people were paying for GPU's. Being found to lie to shareholders usually results in you being sued for $$$, so they are probably keen to avoid this as much as possible. The crypto gpu boom was partly as people were investing in something that was going to directly return part of their investment to them in the near future. This is no longer the case, and the sunken cost for enjoyment is proportionately higher and harder for many to justify. If gpu's are prohibitively expensive on pc, I certainly would sooner jump more to console gaming than pay for a gaming streaming subscription for playing newly released titles.

Jensun has already won, he's made people think that insane halo prices for mid ranged graphics cards are a steal. With AMD refusing to compete and just price matching him, he could sell a bag of crap for $800 USD now, with partner bags of crap costing $1000+, and people will line up overnight to buy one at launch, so long as they're lied to with deceptive naming into thinking it's a high end bag of crap. And yes, the irony that I caved and bought their halo card isn't lost on me, I'll face my punishment when the time comes and I'm sent to super hell for my sins.
LOL Don't beat yourself up.. I just bought an Asus Strix White Edition 4090 for $2,000. I'm guilty also. I'll keep the card for probably about 3-4 cycles tho. Buy the best card you can afford and don't buy another one for like 3 yrs.. They will start feeling the pain if people do that.

*buys $2,000 Nvidia GPU in protest of Nvidia GPU prices* LMAO, some of the takes I read on this forum are amazing. Gamers have memory of a goldfish. What you posted here you'll forget in a week. You'll be lining up to buy 5090 and 6090 and so on and on.
