Jensun has already won, he's made people think that insane halo prices for mid ranged graphics cards are a steal. With AMD refusing to compete and just price matching him, he could sell a bag of shit for $800 USD now, with partner bags of shit costing $1000+, and people will line up overnight to buy one at launch, so long as they're lied to with deceptive naming into thinking it's a high end bag of shit. And yes, the irony that I caved and bought their halo card isn't lost on me, I'll face my punishment when the time comes and I'm sent to super hell for my sins.

Give them away for charity, disabled gamers or something.

I could almost think that Nvidia and AMD are in an secret agreement on the GPU market - not true of course, but AMD behavior is very suspicious and Nvidia is well...Nvidia.

He hasnt won. Those who buy who buy his high end cards are a minority. He has no volume sales like in the past. Many gamers have given up on GPUs and moved to the PS5 which is seeing record sales over the past year.

Wow, not often we see a post that doesn't spit vitriol at NV and/or AMD. Something i dont understand though with those complaining about new card prices, if you play your favourite game at 144hz on your current equipment, that performance doesn't change with that favourite game irrespective of how much the latest hardware costs. I can play Metro EE at 120fps now, in 10 years time on this rig il still be able to play it at 120fps.

I don't know about that: https://venturebeat.com/games/pc-and-console-sales-are-down-but-the-market-is-stabilizing-newzoo/ According to this consoles gaming market was down while pc gaming market was up...-but, if what you're saying is true then it is very worrying because not only "he" has not won but also "she" (AMD) and "it" (intel) and they will stop investing in research and development of new gpu solutions that are the driving force behind AI applications and scientific research - not only games....

Dear Nvidia, I'd actually love to buy a 12GB variant RTX 3060... the only problem is.
https://i.imgur.com/jxiWYFG.gif
That said I have noticed the prices coming down slightly, I will continue to wait.

Oh they'll see what an "inventory challenge" is if they attempt to sell a 500$ 8 gig card.

Nvidia next step would probably be like what they done with refreshed Turing, using higher tier chips on existing RTX4000 cards For example: AD102 chip on 4080 class - 4080Ti AD103 chip on 4070 class - 4070 Super AD104 chip on 4060Ti could kick ass too, who cares if it has 8GB if it perform 5-10% less than 4070 and selling for 400usd or less

How obvious, isn't that great? I'm sure all those teenagers who played arena shooters in 90s on Voodoo cards can still do that today, providing their machines still exist, even FPS will be the same. Doesn't make it worthy investment, to buy something overpriced hoping you can play on it same game for 20 years. Market only reflects on present changes. Your price is high or low depending on the current state of the market. In 10 years time your overpriced GPU will be worth nothing. It doesn't matter it can run old games the same.

Leave Xbox out of it, its not doing good. PS5 sales are breaking records. 19 million units sold in 2022, 6.3 million in last quarter. One cant help but think Jenson gave the PS5 a good boost as GPU gamers getting fed up with him and his pricing. https://www.gamesradar.com/ps5-sets-record-breaking-quarterly-sales/

Stranger things have happened. I know this is true, from a person who was directly involved. Some years ago, 2 airlines were 'competing' on a particular route. They happened to have offices next to each other at one of the airports involved. They developed a signalling mechanism. If a red card was placed in the window of one of the offices, it meant they were going to increase the ticket price on that route. The other airline followed suit.

They are in agreement, inderectly, but they are. It's a natural consequence of a market dictated by 2 or 3 players...

Do you listen to yourself? There will be an instances where difference is 50% between 4060ti and 4070 just like the difference in memory capacity. For 400$? No thanks.
