They should just quit with any 3050 and open up production capacities for hardware people actually buy. I'd love to see the numbers of 3050 sales these days... can't imagine that it's profitable anymore.

I'm guessing the yields for the 3060 are good enough they don't need to cut any down to 3050 levels. Comments on the 3050 are always funny, the card itself isn't that bad it was only the price that really killed it. I have one that my brother was done using and it gets dam close to the same performance as my old gtx 1080.

Is Nvidia trying to win some sort of competition for having both the worst and best GPUs on the market?

100-120 e would be a good price for this card , would buy three of them and replace 750ti that my kids game on right now. I just checked ,the cheapest available in Greece is 250e. On the other hand there will always be enough people that will buy both console and PC versions of gta 6. artificial intelligence and natural idiocy complete each other 🙂

If it's anything close to 1660 Super, the card would still have some juice. Easy 1080p on a combination of High/Medium settings for up to 75Hz monitors. My 3060 does well on a 1440p on a similar combination and always gets me the 73Hz limited I want.

That applies to every single card ...no card is bad with out a price tag ... Is the price tag that make em good or bad ... Say rtx 4080 at 1200 overpriced... Rtx 4080 at 800 though would have been one of the most praised card ever etc etc

Yeah, and there's me trying to inject a little humour into what will be no doubt another thread bashing NV or AMD or the 4090, but no lets keep it strictly humourless.

You wouln't believe how good 1650 performs for less demanding users like me in 1080p. In any case, I was looking for a no extra power card and the only option right now is a W7500Radeon Pro @ 440 Euros/USD. In any case, this new 3050 75TDP that requires extra power is idiotic. I am pretty sure that they could squeeze 1 or 2 W and gain much more potential users (counless Dell, Levonos etc desktops). Some vendors will probably do that, however...

This always seemed like a 6GB card to me anyway.

idk what they're doing at the low end. next gen iGpu from both AMD and Intel will outperform this card and we're only talking 2-3 quarters to get there which would sync with the 3050 6Gb release in the wild. imo this is a China thing

If Intel could manage to knock 30 bucks off of the a750 they'd probably sell a snot load of them vs this thing

This should be like GT 3030.

nVidia is just spitting in gamers' faces at this point.

No it's not so bad, they can play at 1080... at least i hope so, because i still can do it with a 1050Ti with a Ryzen.

Depends on what games you play.

True but probably most games you're good. I had a 1060 6GB and it sailed through 2077 on mostly high settings which would be somewhat close to 1050ti. I think shows rl66's point is that a 3050 can easily be able to handle anything at 1080. It isn't like the card is useless. Good value? Now that is debatable.
