Notice how Jensen isn’t doing the reveal this this time? Probably because he doesn’t want to deal with the immediate backlash from disgruntled fans. Terrible drivers, broken G-sync, raised blacks, FPS drops, low GPU usage. No stock.

349$ rtx 3060 would be nice but at actual msrp.

You should see the geforce forums. There are tons of posts on flickering g-sync bugs and it causing black screen issues when it’s turned on.

Yeah I don't buy that. I'm also not even convinced any of these things are real issues, outside of the G-Sync flickering on older cards (which has happened before with those cards).

Using a 1080ti and a Dell S2716DGR (old school G-sync) with no flicker. Is it maybe kepler cards with the issues?

No, it's Pascal - but it seems to be limited to G-Sync compatible monitors (at least browsing through nvidia forums, most of them seem to be g-sync compatible). It's a known issue with the latest driver release: [GeForce GTX 1080 Ti]: The desktop screen may flicker. [3200599]

3090 flicker issues here. But it could be my LG CX. Had to lower from 120hz to 100hz to fix the issue.
Have you updated to the latest LG firmware?

theres a fix for this in 5.00.10, but its not available to all regions yet.

Various 165+hz displays are showing it, whether gsync is active or not. and even then, many aren't too.

it would seem the new nvidia driver has tripped over a bug in Windows DCT, hence the LG issue where users are reducing to 47 brightness to get blacks back to normal.

Contrary to your faulty opinion of him, Jensen thrives in such scenario's and in humbling ignorant consumers that are unaware of the complexities of hardware and software design. The low gpu usage issues are people relying on the buggy task manager to get information and people overestimating their machines capability to run warzone (and mind you, they aren't getting unplayable fps, its just not as high as they think they should get. key word think.)

I'd say their drivers is the least of their problems. I rarely have issues. However, no stock, while continuing to "release" new products leading to consumers being scalped and even 3rd party vendors scalping (ahem MSI) are the real issues at hand. We need; 1) Loads of cards available to purchase. 2) Loads of games using RTX and DLSS2/3. 3) Drivers performance pass for Ampere and Turing. Finally, the dreams; 4) Lower prices. 5) Help fix Cyberpunk 2077 where possible.

3080 Ti announcement event I would guess "To all my Pascal gamer friends, it is now - and not 6 months ago as I said previously - safe to upgrade"

Dell USA was selling a PNY 3090 for $1950. That is just egregious from a major retailer. Of course, two hours later it was already gone.

One thing to keep in mind IF they release 20GB cards: They won't be the same price as the 10GB versions so it's not worth waiting if you can find a card right now and game at 1440P

I think they will announce ampere for notebooks - since gaming notebooks are starting to be a big business and maybe a new RTX 3000 card - the cheapest one yet - RTX 3060 maybe??? I don't know why Jensen doesn't present this - maybe it is not THAT significant what they will announce or maybe he will jump out from a strategically placed oven (turned off of course...) with a freshly baked batch of this new gpu yelling "RTX ON!"...- now that's entertainment!
data/avatar/default/avatar14.webp
Hard to get excited about announcements when you cant even buy the product. I guess some day my evga queue will pop (and my luck it will be on a day i dont check my email, since you only get 8 hours to buy it)

Newegg forces you to buy "combos" with parts you have no desire for if you want to buy a card through them. Honestly one of the sleeziest things they have done and they permanently lost me as a customer. They arent what they used to be back in the early 2000s.

I have noticed this on some UK sites too - the "bundle deals" are in stock but the GPU/CPU (30x0 or Ryzen) included in bundle is out of stock on its own on site. Sleazy tactic of - hey if you want this CPU/GPU you're going to have to also buy this motherboard/RAM combo we are trying to get rid of that nobody wants...
