Finally we get to see how much of these rumors is true. The rumor mill has been insane with these cards.

The only takeaway from this is just how much of a monster the 2080ti will be comepared to 2080.

So 8GB for 2080 is pretty much confirmed, right? My concern is that games back in 2016 (Deux Ex MD, XCOM 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider etc) already used 8GB+ of VRAM in 1080p 😕 Shadow of War and Resident Evil 7 are also good examples though they are newer games.

That's why i said before that for 200$ more (remains to be seen) people get something much better than the 2080. Also 8GB VRAM is nothing, even GTA V with AA uses already close to 6.4GB VRAM at 4k. And they will do a 7nm refresh anyway. I'm more interested in seeing how NVLink is like and how much it costs. GTX2080 Ti if indeed 1200€ (max 900 for me) then i'll just wait for AMD, couldn't care less if i can't use GSync ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But knowing AMD they'll release like 100 cards at launch and people can't buy them because no stock 😛

Wow the stream user count is getting insane ! From 1200 users yesterday ( It started counting at 24 hrs ), it kept rising slowly but then exponentially until now ( T -23m ), 48000 users and still climbing fast !! I wonder if Twitch is able to handle so much load. Edit: 51000 after a few more mins ( T -21). Insane !

48,000? Ninja - a single streamer - gets like 300k regularly and broke 600k+ before.

Indeed, the Ti will be the one to go for here, unless the price is high at retailers. AMD, I mean, come one, how long do you want to wait? Going by the last decade, they'll release something slightly slower and slightly more expensive a few months from now when nobody cares. But, those who buy them will have 2% better performance in 3 years time. So it's up to you.

Thanks for the heads-up.

It's bad to upgrade now anyway, they will do 7nm refresh of the 2080 Ti, most likely named 2085 Ti and even a 2090 Ti. It should at least allow for better clocks by default and less TDP, and by then there will be also AMD 7nm, so have to choose from. 2080 Ti is 12nm, honestly unless people have money to spare or really need an upgrade just wait for 7nm.
