i love how they compare it with the gtx 650 (or GT740 btw)... of course the gap with gtx950/960 is not enough wide. but yes i think it will be a great entry level GPU even if near GTX950/960.

I wonder how it compare's with my 380! (the 1050 ti)

It should be compared to the 750ti since it was very popular.

What should be a " Basic PC" ?

no need to look for conspiracies everywhere. they compare it this way because people who buy such GPUs don't upgrade every year. someone who has gtx950 now won't upgrade for another 2-4 years.

In that promo with games frame says: GTA V & GoW 4 run on medium settings,Dota 2 & WoW run on higher settings @ 1080p & i5 4670.
They do on their site/landing page. http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1050/
"Love" this: powered by NVIDIA Pascal™—the most advanced GPU architecture ever created. When Volta came out what they say? The most advanced GPU architecture mankind ever created? :eyes:

Assuming newest architectures are used: intel G4400 H110/M mobo 4/8GB ram 200-300w good quality psu 120/128GB SSD(Opt. 500GB HDD) Unless you meant " Basic Gaming PC" intel i3-6100 H110/M mobo 8GB ram 350-550w good quality psu 120/128GB SSD/500GB-1TB+ HDD Nvidia GTX 1050/1050Ti That's about as basic as it gets. *Unless I misinterpreted your question.

Faster and use much less power.

Assuming you found one in a 4gb size, in theory you could overclock the 950(Awesome but near impossible OC though lol) to the ti's standards.

Idk, it should not be that much faster than 380 and your 960 or at all.

Seriously? GTA V @ medium settings @ 1080p = 23fps with GTX650? So I'm curious then how can I get 35-45fps @ medium-high settings @1080p with my old and poor GTX550Ti. nVidia and their charts... just lame.

This is where crippling the 950 and base 960 to 2gb pays off for nvidia, laughable, budget cards are budget for a reason hu?.

it is not, it is communication basis: big gap = rhooooo powerfull small gap = well, nice both talking about the same good card, but the 1st "Vs" look better isn't it? also she will fight against RX460 and the "maybe RX465"... at this level of power it is far than enough.

950 has existed in 4g with EVGA... useless (as the 750Ti 4g) but has existed.

I need a GPU for my optipro 7010 that I stuck a 2500 in. HDMI2.0 equipped HTPC that could play some newer games at medium setting on 1080, and older games at 4K30.
