Now we start talking

Nvdia: "here I painted the number that gamers will love, good luck developing panels!" nvidia just threw a numbers, right?

Man if these where 42" in size I would love to get three of them to replace my current setup(3x 1080p HDTV LED 42" aka Nvidia Surround). Awesome stuff, damn 65" at those specs is insane! If only the screen had HDMI 2.1 then it be perfect.

Will Volta / Pascal Refresh be able to run 4k @118fps? Now THAT is a question. Sticking with my 3440x1440 till we have a solid performing card @4k that won't cost arm and leg.

Do the panels even exist yet? And how much is this gonna retail for? With gsync, 4k HDR, 65", Nvidia shield, my guess is you'll never see it for less than 2k yoyos

Finally large displays with gsync are coming out so I don't have to settle for tiny tablet sized screens like the popular 27". I honestly don't understand how can people be gaming on such tiny displays, for me it's completely non immersive. Small displays like that are only good for website browsing and office work.

And that's a pixel density of 22'' monitor with 720p.

F*cking finally!

I'm assuming this will have HDMI 2.1 ports along with Display ports. I just wish this was 3D or at least supported Nvidia 3D Vision.

I can't see how nvidia can even think about this ATM given the current state of their drivers (after 385.xx). Both GSYNC and HDR are totally busted. I don't know how many years it has been where 23.976 and 24.000 refresh rates have been finicky also. Now if this panel supported 3D (with active glasses) they would be onto a winner. but I fear it won't.

Sounds good on paper but in reality... Nah, I do not have high hopes for it... I bet there will be perfomance issues and you will need to have a bloody good spec to reach 120hz at 4K resolution.... and, yes, perhaps a second morgage to buy one of these screens 🙄

It must be HDMI 2.1. HDMI 2.0 doesn't support 4K 120Hz even without HDR.

My guess is on $3k - $4k.

Are our only choices for 4k/gsync/HDR gonna be 27" or 65" with nothing in between? I've been waiting for something like this but 65" is way too big to be usable as a monitor. If there's one with these specs in the 32"-42" range I'll buy one.

Exactly. Still hoping to see more G-Sync/HDMI 2.1 UHD 120Hz displays in the 32-42" range.

@BD2015 And whats your point? Trying to tell us you gonna be sitting 2ft away from that 65 like you do on the desk? If you dont like it say so, dont use fake arguments no one that knows their shit will see as valid. And anyone talking about 4k@120hz. Do you know that panel refresh rate and fps are 1. Not the same 2. Dont have to have the same 3 especially since this is GSYNC??

This is most definitely a step in the right direction. Personally myself, I would like around 38"- 42" with these specs.

Yes! Your are totally right I never thought of that it has to be HDMI 2.1! Damn then that screen is pretty amazing! Please make a 42" screen, that would be so epic for my config.

I wonder if these big format gaming displays will come with anti-glare screens like most other monitors or will they have glossy screens like most TVs. BFG Displays. I see nVidia is bring BFG back. 😎

Pretty awesome got to admit! For sure a step in the right direction, plenty of people would want it. Although I'm using common sense and guessing that many more people would want a big 4k 120/144hz monitor of lesser proportions. For instance a monitor that will actually be used as a desktop screen and not a TV for the living room, ie. 32, 35, 42 inches and not only 21:9 UltraWide, talking 16:9 too. Guess it's only a matter of time but announcements seem to be coming first for what I thought would be coming later, lol. o_O
