Surprisingly, there's a GTX 1060 5GB, yes, most would go, 'Ain't no such thing as a 5GB GTX 1060'. There is, apparently, a 5GB GTX 1060 model made for Chinese net cafes and only for the Chinese market. Some were obviously repackaged and sold on eBay....

These have been flooding ebay for a while now, you can tell quite often by the fact that the IO panel at the back is always the same and has VGA

same story as fake Killer WiFi (intel), fake Ryzen (AM2 cpu), fake intel I7 (I3)... i don't like eBay it's true about the 5GB GTX1060 and also about "light" RX560 and "light" 4GB RX570 that were chunk down for the same chinese net cafe market

Now this has been exposed, they're probably going to fake the product pictures as well.

"Chinese traders","Chinese dealers ".They make profits from uninformed casual gamers or users(american or european). As usual the trade war continue, now its time for for nvidia, after Intel get a big punch in the begining of 2018. Good thing the new Gpu-Z have a feature to detect those fakes.

News Flash! Ebay is junk and only benefits the person selling, not buying. I don't use ebay - I would rather throw old technology in the government provided recycling (after I destroy it) than sell something on the platform. I have in fact got some old sound cards, 5.1 speaker systems and network AC cards I am going to be destroying soon and giving to the recycler. Doesn't anyone know you can walk into any shop and haggle? It is the law you know...I'll admit the chances of getting a reduction in the price of a cup of coffee are pretty slim, but buying technology? Man...easiest way to get money off, as shops are so afraid of loosing money right now, they are practically begging people for the haggle-monster to walk in. Try it (even if you are not buying something) and just walk into an actual retail shop and see what kinda discount you can get, you will be shocked.

@Loobyluggs You do realise when you donate things like electronics, they are not repurposed, they are basically melted down into their elements to get the precious and semi precious materials out of it then sell them. It really has nothing to do with anything else.

Reminds me of the guy who took his PC into PC World for a 'Service' and when he got it back it had a different (less powerful) GPU.

Bought one of those. It was 450GTS with modded BIOS. It was almost 100$. When i mounted it on MB, GPU-Z reported a fake GPU. After that I have contacted the seller: 1st message from him was with apologizes and him asked me to refund 10%, which was 10 $. Ofcourse I said no. 2nd message was with an offer with 35% from total sum. So he wanted to transfer 35$ 😀 Again NO. Reported the seller and I've got 100$ back. The whole procedure happened in 1 month. Be careful. And here are 1080ti for 90$ 😀 http://i66.tinypic.com/2uqgia1.png

they have been doing this for years and ebay doesnt seem to care, try finding a 750 deal and 90% are the same fake chinese thing, just remove results from china and you should be good to go, btw rx 570 and 460 are selling like mad, miners seem to be dumping stock, got a 570 8gb armor for 100$ shipped and almost 3 years left on warranty

$89 for a GTX 1080 Ti sounds about right, deal.

I know, that's why I destroy them first - makes it easier for them to melt/smelt and break apart.

Worse thing is that some of these cards give better bang for buck than official offerings on same price range.

I saw those $90.00 1080 Tis as well and I don't understand why that auction hasn't been taken down. Obviously, nobody is selling multiple EVGA 1080 Tis for $90.00 a pop, so it must be a scam.
