Would it kill them to make them in colors that didn't look like they belong on the wood paneling of some 1960's car? I'd honestly consider buying them if they did something different.

I don't think I'll ever buy any other type of fan.

All those color complaints are so sad.
Don't like it, don't buy it.
I own 5 of those fan from the older series as case fans. Hooked on a Scythe Kaze Master Pro running at 600 RPM, soooooooooo silent.

Fans are easy to take apart and spray paint 🙂

I actually kinda like the color when it's on a black interior. And their fans themselves are amazing. I've tried so many different ones, always end up swapping them back out for the Noctuas.

I own 2 F12 fans they are the nicest quality fans i have. even better than my 6 multi frame noiseblocker pwm.

There are plenty of people who have actually recoloured Noctua fans themselves without an impact on air flow and acoustics. Personally I like the colour since It looks nice in the desk pc I made. 🙂

The thing is, those Dyson fans push air only from its perimeter.
From a distance, you probably won't notice it.
But try to hold your hand close to it, just like when a fan is attached to a heatsink.
Unless your hand is in front of any section of the air slits in its perimeter, there's no airflow in the middle.
Traditional fans still have more coverage in the middle despite the motor and frame.
Besides, these fans would only be good with a push config, and would probably next to useless on getting hot air out of a case.
As a general blower, however, it might work.
Then again, might as well open your case's side panel and turn on a Dyson fan next to it.
(which a friend of mine does)

Dyson's latest gizmo for hand washing/ drying runs at 430 mph !!!
Wonder wot the cfm is on these?
Have 4 Noctua's running in my system 120/140 mm and they are the best I've used so far......colour is not a factor.....
