Then GamersNexus won't get a sample either, seeing their recent coverage of Arc.
GamersNexus, Jayz2Cents, LTT and HardwareUnboxed all got samples. Jayz2Cents and LTT seemed to focus their reviews on comparing the Arc cards against the 3060 and 6600XT only. I haven't watched the GN or HU reviews yet. Quite honestly, if you're playing mostly DX9-DX11 games, Arc is going to be a waste of money if you just want to be able to game without any tinkering...

What dicks. @Hilbert Hagedoorn Maybe you and Ian Cutress can come together and buy some cards as he got passed over as well?

from what i read it look like win for intel, granted DX9~11 performance is bad and need driver optimising badly, and you need rebar enabled system or card take huge hit. but from launch stand point probably best discrete gpu intel launched. Given time drivers issue will be shorted out and next generations should be even better gains, hopefull with out price gouging like nvidia is dueing for once i am actual impressed by d gpu offering from intel. TDP/TGP is ok but still to to much seeing it using more then 3060 power was to offer same performance

There is SOME good news: All GPU at 3060 RTX and 6600 XT or lower will now be CHEAPER! Maybe the 4050.... or 7600 XT... Haha... die crypto scalpers...

Seems in some games it's as slow as my GTX 1070 in 1080p 😛
They all got the A770 "Limited Edition" cards to review with the 16GB vram and 560GB/s memory bandwidth. These cards will be one off sale. The normal A770 has 8GB vram and 512GB/s memory bandwidth. Also on all reviews they use Intel Rebar ON as it improves performance. I wonder if they have SmartAccess Memory ON for their AMD reviews too. Because few times came to this, reviewers said they keep it OFF.

Intel has already said that none of these cards are limited in quantities/time (even though one is named "limited edition" for whatever marketing reason).

The "Limited Edition" cards are the cards released by Intel themselves. They're Intel's version of NVidia's "Founder's Edition"....

It looks great for an initial offering. For running the latest games, the price/performance advantage goes to Arc. Power-usage not so much. Intel needs to work on their DX9 and DX11 drivers big-time. RT performance is actually really good for the monies. The rebar situation means old systems need not apply. If you want a 3rd player in the gpu market to keep the other two in-check, then, you need to support this. Otherwise just get used to the ever increasing prices.

Now you know how we feel....

After reading the other reviews, the card is only good for newer systems anyways since it requires REBAR. Performance tanks without it. A major deal breaker.

So they are "limited edition" after all, lmao...

Can they even improve DX9 performance if they haven't got a DX9 Driver? https://www.guru3d.com/news_story/arc_and_xe_igpus_dont_support_directx_9.html

So, after reading a couple of reviews from Arstechnica and Techpowerup, i think it`s safe to say that intel has laid good foundations for their GPUs. The hardware is good, same with performance, sitting between the 3060 and the 3060ti. A curious point is that the cards perform better at higher resolutions, the opposite of Nvidia´s and AMD´s cards. RT performance is also good, a little better than AMD. But there are some issues, some minor and others major. The minors ones are the power consumption, specially at iddle, it spends an absurd amount of energy just to power the screen doing nothing... The major ones are the drivers, as expected. The performance craters in some games, specially DX11 ones. And some sites are reporting problems like games crashing or simply not working, among others... The cards should be priced 50€ lower to compensate all this issues. Personally, i like the A770 16Gb but i wouldn`t buy one because i won`t accept paying around 400€ for a card that may not work as intended in some occasions, specially when i have other options that work without any problems. I hope Intel will continue to work on their drivers and improve the cards so they can become a viable option agains Nvidia and AMD.

I wonder if DXVK could be used to get around the legacy DirectX limitations on these cards.

Sounds like yield problems. Considering how long they've had the marketing push in development, they should have had enough cards to circulate! HH should have received a card or two, or three. These are "also rans" in every respect, imo. I'm all for competition, but are these really competitive?

But these Arch GPUs are made in N6, which is a half node over N7. Not a new node. TSMC says they have the same yields on N6 as on N7. But denser and with fewer passes.

Linus is pretty rough on Intel but...he as millions of views so definitely intel customers among them I'm sure they have metrics on who's community is buying or not their brands

Well, after this massive shunning there had BETTER be a "Guru3D Limited Edition" of the top Battlemage SKU. I do hope they end up doing well in the GPU market and shake things up, but this just looks bad.

With the amount of other websites that look to Guru3D for reviews you would think Intel would kind of want to have early reviews on Guru3D...
