So no vulnerability if you have TPM disabled or not in use?

"requires local access".
Move along folks.

They will release 3.0 and make it a requirement for Windows 12

...it was a matter of time, really. *sigh*
Requires local access is a bone sent our way but malware infection could help hackers hack the TPM from a distance. I could see this being exploited but not at a broad level but more at a personal, targeted level.

I always disable TPM. Anything that makes it harder for me to install, transplant, or repair my OS is not something I want to deal with. I know there are games that use TPM for online multiplayer but there's a pretty slim chance I'm ever going to play such games.
It really just seems like technology for the sake of technology. You can relatively easily bypass it, so what's the point?

joy to the masses... another set "patches" incoming to reduce performance? and get people to buy newer overprices stuff? honeslty if it say local access is need it moot to 90% of users.

Can i laugh? 🙂 lol
Useless mandatory for W11.
No you are not vulnerable to this one (as myself too)
But there is plenty other nasty one...

These people looking for security have nothing better to do I'm sure ... with they beautifull findings that cripple performance in order people to upgrade. Local access and all that crap ... I cant wait to find a hacker in my living room instead of stealing my expensive watch collection he will want to hack my computer upstairs or the laptop in the kitchen.
