I have been to New York City and viewed in person at 11k and it is a cesspool at this resolution.

"Selects 8k in youtube , i have a i5 8600k @ 4.8ghz it's fine" dam it , should have gone for the 2700x D:

And here am I watching it in 1080p...
It's great to have new tech and stuff being recorded in detail, but it's bad the tech for consumers is catching up slowly (price wise at least).
My i5 2500k can render 4k no problem, but 8k forget it 😛

My potato work computer (i5-6300U) started crying for help when I hovered the mouse pointer over 8K so I'll try at home on my 6700K instead which should do 4K just fine, but I guess I can completely forget about 8K.

4790k @ 4.7ghz here and can play stutter free 8k videos although i understand they are scaled down to my 1080p res anyway

Video should play with no sweat if you have hardware acceleration activated in your broswer, i watched the clip at 8k max with the GPU usage being at 50% on 270 Mhz GPU frequency (you read that right !, my old kepler GPU didnt even sweat to go full 1.25 GHz on this video).
On the other hand if you have the feature disabled (hardware acceleration) your CPU will struggle a bit.

Watching this in 8k on my IPS 21:9 is holy shit.
I know its downscaled to 1080p, but holy god it looks 100X better then it does on my 1080p TV using my server in 8k.

Anyone got a 12k rez monitor to watch this on... lol you know what would make this better? if it was at 60fps!
30fps is so 2 million years ago. 😛
