That "Yippie!" when that little bearded guy finds something... Siedler 2 was good. Oddly enough, I got the warez (the game) from by chemistry teacher back in the day... 😱

We played with my brother S2 in split screen. Required one mouse in PS/2 and one in serial port. Serial mouse had to be unplugged on boot and added before start of game. As there was primary mouse input grabbed from OS and then secondary input came via COM port configuration in game.

Settlers II was the best . I have the anniversary edition now and I still run it sometimes . Old memories come back to life .

I remember you could play on split screen with 2 mice in Settlers 2. Not a feature I have seen before or after. The hours we played like that with my friend 🙂. Hopefully this new installment is a decent successor to the legacy.

That sounds complicated compared to playing split screen on Amiga. Need two mice? Just plug another in.

Well, you know that PCs are not gaming consoles and every session is taken as single user session. Therefore, you can connect several keyboards/mouses and input will still go through same library and all will be used as you had just one KB/mouse.

Awesome huge Settlers fan so now we have a new Theme Hospital with Two Point Hospital and a new Settlers and on top of that a new Anno on the way, finally some new strategy builder games, chuffed 🙂

I spent countless hours playing Settlers 1 on a 2nd hand Amiga I bought that came with a load of games. I can still remember the big fat manual with those images on the corners of each page for the copy protection. I had no internet then so I played the game proper oldskool with no assistance or tips. The kids these days don't know how good they have it.
