Wouldn't be too sure about the price part. Looking at how poorly Vega does, nvidia will likely milk Volta just like they did Pascal without competition.

Does the 3rd fan really add to the cooling in cards like this? There are usually diminishing returns to the amount of heat you can dissipate

Yeah no kidding. Especially worth noting is how the GTX 1070 is nearing 1.5 years old and it's the same price (or more) as it was at launch.

i have that problem but the other way round - yeah that card does look huge , but Asians are generally smaller framed /size
