I can set different fanspeed with the new 1.60 bios for my Asrock x570 Taichi. Now it's silent 😉

Not upgrading before I can watercool the chipset 🙂

If I'm not mistaken, der8auer tested a passive and simple heatsink without problems on a x570 board.

In the x570 Aorus Master, I've yet to hear the chipset fan--it's been silent regardless of bios version. My theory is that some people hear "a fan" ramp up and down, perhaps a GPU fan initializing, etc., and they immediately think "chipset fan" as if it's the only fan in the system...;) The power suggestion holds over some people is incredible! No wonder marketing pays so well....! Two feet away--side panel off--I've yet to hear it.

Still gonna wait for B550 :P I don't trust these small non-replacable fans, they usually break after 2 years.

Bearings? Maybe sleeve bearings. Dont know why but always have impression of small fans as cheap and nasty.
