At least the netcode has improved a lot with the CTE (including 60-120Hz servers)

An announcement of an announcement? :3eyes: Battlefield is easily my favorite shooter game series (skipped Hardline though), and I'll be getting this one too, but it's become a mixed bag over the years. --The move into current/future scenarios has watered down the gameplay. I prefer combat periods before ultra-modernized and computerized weaponry; WW2 through Vietnam eras. Perhaps even a well done WW1 scenario. It makes for more compelling tactical choices. Kind of sick of all the drones, radar that exposes everyone and the fire/forget weaponry in BF3/4. It's been fun but the party's over. 🤓 --I like that there is all the extra content (weapons/scopes/grips) but I also think it consistently keeps some people focused on doing things for their own stats rather than teamwork. This game used to focus more on teamwork and that breaks it. I'm also not big on gamers being milked to death for micro-tran$action$. nor the ability to leap ahead with better weaponry without actually putting in some work. --I miss the coop/bot mode from the original 4 Battlefield games. It was Multiplayer without people. We (kids, friends and I) still play a modded BF2 AIX2 server on our home network. I wish they'd dump the useless campaign and bring back offline multiplayer again (instead of training mode). --I really miss the mods and user maps that were allowed in previous versions. Locking the game down is boring. Playing the same 10-20 maps gets old really, really fast. If we could take all the best things about every Battlefield game, mix them together and create the ultimate experience, I'd probably wet myself.

not really going to be to happy since I hated the way they do it since bf3 with re gen everything "me me" classes & loadouts and some of the most stupid "big open world" maps ever. sure I will buy only the vanilla but pleae no freaking space sharks and crap oh and btw hardline and 2142 was not bf they were a redheaded step children I hope it comes free with a new vga

Indeed best game in the series thus far so many hrs clocked up, i'd like a WW1 era battlefield but choice would be 2143 for sure. Mechwarriors and glorious hover tanks tho not that rubbish **** in BF4 final stand omg.

Last time I was stupid enough to pre-order and paid 70€ for deluxe edition. What did I get? A choppy, crashing game play and few retarded battlepacks. Never again.
