Extremely cringy. All of it.

Looks like the same old, same old NFS that we've grown sick of over the years. The series were great in the earlier years (when it was relatively 'fresh'), but you can only spew out the same forumla so many times before people begin to get sick of it.

Need for speed is long overdue for a complete overhaul. Not had any interest in the series since the first hot pursuit. IMO they need to go back to their roots like the first game road and tracks need for speed.
Undying
They just need to make Underground 3 and fans will flip out.

I see a lot of potential for megatransactions.
Other than that it's looking super meh.
I recently played Need for Speed - Porsche 2000 again, now THAT was fun.

Really nice lighting and reflections. Did that require DXR?
1st Underground had almost same customization down to tires affecting handling in different weather.

I already knew that the underground series was arcade back in the day, but it had its charm and I could always come back for some street racing, but gone are the days of buying a finished game upfront.
EA won't leave free cash on the table and though it's not confirmed, I'm sure they will try to squeeze racing fans for money on cosmetics and perks that will gain your progress throughout your career.
However if by some miracle EA don't add micro or "mega" transactions, loot boxes (gambling) or anything of the sorts and the game is worth its asking price, then I might consider buying it on their bloatware.
I had to rewatch the trailer and apparently there are a few graphical glitches, issues with the lods (as with their latest games) and was it just me or was the game stuttering during the night drive?

When he hits the NOS the game turns to Blur because that's an easier way to do things.
Who here doesn't turn off blur in games?

Driving down the street then all of a sudden.

Pandering to the audience never looked so expensive.
Yet another marketing cliché.

What bothers me is that they rehashed so many assets from the last few games, look at those customization icons for example. They look the same as they did 2 NFS games ago.
This series needs a rehaul but it's clear EA cba to do it. For example they could make games with very specific themes like the Porsche game from 20 years ago (holy shit I can't believe it's been that long). I bet such a historic approach would gain some interest from players as opposed to doing the same thing over and over again.
Sometimes I wish someone could slap some of these IPs out of EA's greedy little hands and give it away to an actually capable studio.
