Had an NEC color CRT (don't remember the model or size) monitor years ago and it was an great monitor. But these NEC 4K monitors are super expensive.

NEC makes a lot of industrial grade monitors, and This looks like such. So does the price tag.

Well, this one is on the high high end looking at the spec... and finally in par with 4K monitors who dont use the "TN" cheaper 4K models. - IPS 4K display 10bit etc - multiple refresh rate: 24 to 120hz ( does this mean it is using DP 1.2a or 1.3 ( not forcibly enabled now ? ) - Display sync etc etc... I think theres a little surprise looking at this multiple refresh rate, this is exactly what DP 1.2a adaptive sync is capable of ( 24 to 120+hz ).. to be confirmed... ( Well adaptive sync can goes as low as 9hz, but it was confirmed that first iteration will be 24hz minimum).. In addition the availability of November seems confirm the last rumors of first Freesync compatible monitors available next month .

Wait so is this a 4k IPS display with a refresh rate of up to 120hz...at 4k? 😱 If so then well, I guess it earns the pricetag.

Wonderful monitor with a good range of inputs. Specs are great, unfortunately the same cannot be said about the price! That said, this could be suitable for gaming at 4k should it have low input lag and good ms timings... Looking forward to a review.
