They sure dropped the 850 pro from 699.99 to 549.99 in a hurry. But hey I'm not complaining. My 256GB 840 pro is out of space these game installs are just getting more and more brutal and with these 50GB+ installs a 1TB drive is looking very tempting. But I need a graphics card first. SO I hope they keep the price reductions going in the mean time. Also the 1TB mushkin reactor is 379.99 on newegg currently. Obviously it's performance is lower than the 850 pro, I don't think any SSD can beat the overall performance of the 850 pro though. But you can just get the 840 evo 1TB for 369.99 10 dollars cheaper than the mushkin and with the evo bug fixed it's probably the higher performing drive. The evo is such a steal right now because the 850 evo is just around the corner. The 850 Evo is probably going to be the best compromise between price and performance on the market. Samsung continues to be the leader in SSD's. Intel and crucial are really the only companies that have any hope of challenging them and they won't have their 3d nand devices out till late 2015. Samsungs total vertical integration is kicking every 1's ass in the SSD market. The sandisk ultra 1tb for 369.99 is another decent choice too but the 840 evo for 369.99 is the cheapest best performing best deal for a 1tb drive currently. Its unbeatable deal right now, free shipping and no tax too 369.99 to ur door for the 840 evo 1tb. deal is so good im tempted to pull the trigger but no must save for gm200 or possibly r9 390x
