Why does it need 2 x 8 pin ATX connectors ? My Asus Prime X370 PRO only has 1 x 8 pin connector. I know the Hero has 1 x 4 pin and 1 x 8 pin ATX connector.

Better to have more juice available for the CPU than to not have enough. Could have been done as they are expecting higher overclocks than could be sustained on the x370's with the original Ryzen chips.

i hear the extra fancy lights and extra power connectors make it go faster, more of everything = more better obviously.:D

That's all well and fine. But, will the new boards, and price actually be able to run 4 sticks of ram (32 gb)@ 3200, or higher?? Oh wait, it's AMD...
