It looks like a laptop, though the 1.5 hours of battery life or what they said seems a bit "meh" but I'd imagine you can't exactly stick a giant length cable into it either nor weigh it down with a massive sized battery. :P
(Terminator style fusion battery, hope you don't bump into anything when you're stumbling around like that, actually not sure how it's going to work even without that risk if you run around all over down the stairs or into furniture or over the high traffic road or whatnot. :P )
(EDIT: And with a headset on the person using this will be both blind and deaf to what's going on around him/her, which could lead to some funny situations or horrible ones depending on things.)

Ohh... I can't hate all this VR-hype more.
The only positive - if the user of this stupidity falls backwards - he might get instantly electrocuted.

HTC Vive requires those two base stations, so you need two buddies walking in front of you carrying them when you go outdoors to play a ghostbuster zombie with this device (making even Apple's izombies envious). Those buddies can then swap in new batteries as well when necessary.

Really? I'd love to see the small print referring to that statement... lol
Are people really at the stage where they think that things like this VR backpack can be used at night, alone, with their dog watching them being like "WTF?!? Crazy Humans..." :stewpid:

I'm lucky enough to own a Vive and 1.5 hours isn't going to cut it. Why not just double the battery capacity for a measly extra 1.4Kg? 3 hours is far more sensible. Better yet, why not have a modular design so that even crazy folks who want to spend a whole day doing virtual hiking or something can.
