The pricing of Gaming is unjust.

I take it only the one with the garish red and black cooler has the 12-phase PCB then? A bit confusing because the PCB photo seems to show 8+2.

YES Finally a hybrid cooled one! Any news on MSI GeForce® GTX 1080 SEA HAWK release date?

The TWIN FROZR VI looks so good!

Normal "founders edition" PCB looks so cheap compared to this.. 1070 even more.. This custom Msi PCB & 10 vrm appears 2x better, also extra 1x 6pin will help for sure to stabilize gpu frequency. I think up to 2.1 - 2.2Ghz could be doable anything more is probably chip limit, unless with special cooling and volt mod.

I played with more than one MSI 980 Ti Twin and compared to other custom boards every MSI was top notch and had ZERO coil whine. I expect that to continue here. MSI doesn't cheap out on board design and components. And I never needed to run fan above 65% to keep temps within 70c range.

No Lightning series model this time? Maybe 1080Ti will get it...

Wish I wouldn't look at these, it's really making me want to buy a 1080 even though I don't plan to. So the cheapest MSI is £550:puke2:

never came at launch...
True! I'm getting old and didn't remembered my Lightnings came relatively late to the party. 🙂

According to TPU the Twin Frozr isn't quiet at all (37 dB) compared to the 29 dB Lightning Cooler with 3 Fans.

Quote "A completely new custom 12-phase PCB design using Military Class 4 components with an 8+ 6-pin power connectors enables higher overclocking performance to push your graphics card to the max." Frozer version for overclockers. That Aero version for £534 is enticing though.

MSI Gaming with the Twin Frozr just got listed here in Norway, roughly $60 more expensive than the Founders edition. For that price you can buy 2x used 980Ti cards. Insane.

Well time for me to save for the TWIN FROZR VI version, cant wait 😀

I wonder where do you draw the line before people stop buying new cards with prices increasing all the time.

It's a mistake in the press-release, MSI just confirmed that. It is 10 phases in total.

I don't suppose the hybrid cooler also cools the VRMs? I never understood why they leave the cooling for those on air for most hybrid solutions.
