What are you people doing while gaming that causes your mousepad to bend? I mean I know this is marketing talk but is this really an issue?

Who uses a mouse pad anymore...? A laser mouse will track even on the surface of a mirror...;) (Just try that with an optical mouse.) Right now my mouse sits on a slick, solid-white, polished & sealed-tile table top--and tracks beautifully. Pad would just get in my way these days...

I still use mouse pad. mosty cause my desk where my kb/mouse is particle board with laminated layer on it that is falling apart not exactly solild either. and optical dont track on glass. Mouse is much smother on flat smooth surface though. and almost no drag compared to mouse pad (max payne pre-order mouse pad) that is 15 years old haha

If you play competitive online FPS games, you could know that there is a big difference between mousepad and desk.

I use mouse pad because it just feels so much smoother than my rough desk...

I do. I can't stand laser mice & I like a bit of movement resistance from mouse pad.
