this is very impressive to me especially the pricing. it matches or bests Samsung for < 30-40% at retail (US)

Solid product--decent price--decent warranty! From the review article: "These variants include a 1600 TBW and 3300 TBW endurance rating" Important to remember that these are simply estimate numbers the manufacturers throw out there...they are not guarantees. The 5-year warranty is the real number which the manufacturer guarantees--MSI expects it to last, trouble free, for no less than 5 years from the date of purchase--regardless of how many or how few TB are W. At normal usage, 1600 TBW would take at least 30 years...and I'd say chances are excellent that every single person who buys this drive will have discarded/upgraded it long before that. These endurance numbers are, imo, sucker bait--because the manufacturer can say whatever he wishes without having to back it up with a guarantee. OTOH, show me a drive warranty that says, "We warranty this drive for 1600 TBW, or we will replace it," and I'm there, baby...;) (Not going to happen, unfortunately.)
