Talking about VRAM and it's lack, I can imagine that whenever I have something that needs or uses 192GB of system RAM, I'm running out of CPU power again to make use of it. Anybody got such a usecase and experience with it?

How good your imc needs to be to let you run 192gb at 6000? I bet most ryzen 7000 cant run expo profiles stable with this amount using 4 dimms.

I remember in the university a project neural network it's use of ram was literally...... ALL the more ram you could give it the better .... It was 2013 and put my then 3770k 16gb 1866 ram threw it's pqces for over 8 hours .... So yeah there are applications 😛

I'm sure it would have had more brains / second with say a 4690K 😀 But really, thanks for the input! I did not realize that network training needs that much ram, but it makes sense.

They will just spread to as much ram as you can give em !
