The card will become available on December 8th for 999 USD.
Wait I thought it was 850 ??? Reference 6900XT pricing for this is going to be very tough to recommend and then the 3080's too at less of a cost. Hmm. Nice review though but that's a surprise alright. EDIT: Yeah it's going to be like a 1000 Euro here but that synchronizes with the VAT and pricing on the 6000 series AMD and 3000 series NVIDIA in Europe and still aligns it with the custom 3080's or reference 6900's (Wherever those are. ~ ) possibly some cheaper custom 6800XT's too. Going to be tough against 3080Ti too potentially even if it's likely going to be a touch more expensive but might justify it by being faster still. EDIT: Oh there's the 849(.99) USD pricing a bit further down on the product page. Yeah I was reading the summary of the RDNA2 cards before so that was the 6900 pricing whoops. Still costly but less extreme at least. 😀 Complicated a bit by AMD pricing the reference cards lower, can't be easy for these custom variants trying to at least earn some profit while not being overly expensive against those. (Especially as AMD extended the product lifetime of the reference cards into Q1 2021 at least due to demand.) Like that time Sapphire I think it was made the Vega 64 customs Nitro+ I believe and priced it like 200$ above reference because the mining boom. 😛 (More evenly matched with the 5700 pricing after that at least.)

Lucky for you if you can get 3080 around 900 Euro, they are all over 1200... With the empty stock it make also the low end going up: 1030 at over 100, 5500XT at 299 (199 Euro before the stock crisis)... Come on AMD, NVidia and partners , don't you look at the news? most people gain 2/3 of what they usualy gain due to covid, and some have lost their job... how can they affort that prices.

RTX 3080 819 - 899 € here - didn't check the availability. OK, perhaps two weeks...

I don't see the 6900xt on the charts. Is that just me?

yup idk why it got removed.

Hilbert there is a small mistake in the final words conclusion , the card is MSI not Asus .

What is the reason for the 6900xt missing from most of the graphs ?
data/avatar/default/avatar14.webp
I see i am not the only one who has noticed that , the availability of the 6900xt was better in my area and the prices of the 6800xt have been so close to the faster card so i would choose the 6900xt as its a better value right now with the mad pricing out there .

Ah, sorry. I used a pre-6900 XT dataset somehow. My bad.

330w average power consumption ? is that for real man, this gen absolutely sucks for this. I hope it's not the new normal. where are 200w cards from amd ?

Why so amazed about that? 6800XT at reference is a 300W rated card, MSI added 30 Watts and additional boost frequency in return for more performance.

cause it's way too much !

3080 pulls even more.

330 or 340 what's the difference both are way too much

Sadly, as you can see they have a problem with not enough stock, so people do buy them. I don't see a point though, there is already a €200 markup over the reference card and then due to limited availability, it's going to cost even more. If the prices come down to normal again and this will be €800 with tax (as it's supposed to be), it's definitely an interesting choice, but until then I'll just have to do with the card I have.

on issues of power draw - blame physics. the equivalent performance of the 3080 or 6800xt on a 14nm production node would be between 25-30% higher with lower clocks or hovering around 50% higher with OC.

MSI submitted their beefed-up Radeon RX 6800 XT graphics card for review, this one is a bit more special though as it has been outfitted in the Gaming X TRIO style. Yes, you'll see proper cooling app... Review: MSI Radeon RX 6800 XT Gaming X TRIO

Seems because Nvidia demands it's existance to be erased 😀

I'm thinking the 6700 could be the replacement for the 5700 and thus a power draw total around 200 with a similar hardware and the efficiency of the 7nm+ node over the 7nm one used in the prior GPU generation from AMD. Could be undervolted further though if the 6800's are any indication AMD's using the efficiency to boost up clock speeds and then the additional cores and such so the 6800's at 300 and the 6800XT's and 6900XT's at 350 total as a result. Effectively AMD's new mid-range lineup could be more conservative about power draw and before the new integrated RDNA2 GPU models in the upcoming Zen3+ CPU's which might be where it's really at for this over the desktop GPU's currently. Still room for a 6600 or lower too replacing the 5600 card after that. Next up from AMD and NVIDIA might be the 5nm nodes if all goes well with this and if Apple hasn't taken all the availability already ha ha. But if the leaks are accurate for NVIDIA's "Lovelace" they might be pushing the gains to use even more cores and a higher clock speed and I would expect RDNA3 to be much the same at least here in the high-end segment. (6800's as the high-end against the 3070 primarily, 6800XT's as the flagship paired against NVIDIA's 3080 and then the halo products of the 6900XT's and 3090's just because. Heh. 😛 ) Still that should then show up more for the actual mid-range segments. For the current generation I think that's the 3060Ti from NVIDIA and Ampere and AMD with Navi20 doesn't really have anything until the Navi22 I think the chip is called likely as the 6700 or 6700XT GPU's and then we'll see for the rest of the specs if it matches with core count and VRAM or uses more and how the clock speeds will be as a replacement for the 5700 and 5700 XT cards. (Could even be drawing more going into the 250 watts instead of 200 via 2x 6-pin connectors for example if they go with a higher clock speed here too.)

The cooler is doing a great job here. I think this is the best non liquid cooler I have seen on the market right now for this series.
