Just a heads-up. Metro charts are highlighting the XFX Thicc instead of Gaming X.

Impressive temperature under load, MSI probably installed all the thermal pads destined for the EVOKE in the Gaming X 🙂

Just a suggestion @Hilbert Hagedoorn to include a backplate photo in the future please.

Why theres no Ryzen cpu testing with these cards ? I dont get it ....................

probably you want to know how cards compare between each other. And you do on a single CPU. What is the point of reviewing everything? everything under the 90% of the top result should come exactly the same. You use only intel cpu because you know that those are the best for 1080p result comparing.

That's the way to do it! (this card)

Looks like the best XT yet. Finally a Navi that does well on both temps and acoustics.

Will there be teardown/pcb photos? Would like to see how they're cooling the VRMs and memory as well as the PCB configuration overall.

Ahw, made them but completely forgot to insert them. These have been added.

Lovely, thank you! 🙂 So looks like the memory is mostly being cooled by the backplate? Does explain why the backplate is so warm then in the FLIR images.

If we talk esthetics, design and style i think nvidia Gaming X version looks better.

For me a great achievement is no dual bios mode with "quiet" for better thermals. It is among the fastest and coolest card with this chip and only one bios mode. MSI engineers made wonders with this card. 5700 XT LIGHTNING Z next please!

Sooooooooooooo. This or a 2060 Super Strix? Serious question, not trolling.

Well, according to guru3d reviews this 5700XT is anything from 10-30% faster than the 2060 Super Strix, apart from Strange Brigade where they tie - so this 5700XT is definitely faster, but of course no ray tracing or DLSS - your call. They both cost about the same right, so 5700XT is a better buy I think because ray tracing kind of sucks at the moment and especially so on the lower power cards like the 2060, and if you don't have a G-sync monitor then it's a no brainer to get this 5700XT in comparison.

It's not really about RT sucking at the moment imo (for the future of the cards) but more about will the 2060 Super card be powerful enough once it starts to be supported more seriously? It might very well be like when people tried to run Unreal with a glide wrapper. It was nice up to the moment there was 3 enemies on the screen then it was a slide show. I'm really skeptical about the 2060 Super (and even to an extend the 2070 Super) being good enough when developer will start to do more than fiddle with ray tracing which is pretty much what they are doing now imo.

aesthetics, design and style... so basically the same thing? Unless you mean technical design

Oh yeah, it will definitely suck in the future! Like I said it already kinda sucks now for ray tracing.
