As I wrote before. Manufacturer is either proud of their products or should not sell them. MSI Does not like their AMD Cards? Then they should pull out and leave more GPUs to be processed by real AIB partner(s).

It's just some idiot running their facebook page.

Well that's not a very smart move on msi behalf, and they pretty much confirmed the business to be crocked.

While i think it's just that guy running the page's words, and not official MSI (even if the facebook page is MSI approved), what's even wrong about thinking that? As of now AMD cards ARE sub par, how could anyone deny that?

As forum members we can express whatever we feel and want (within the forum rules). That doesn't apply to official brand spokeperson who expect to preserve his current job. Honestity and reality are not the main factor in 2018 PR: it's political correctness and specially lawyers "filter". 😀 IMHO AMD GPUs are sub par VS competition since 290(X)...

What's wrong to tell the truth? I like to have the fastest hardware, and now Amd gpu isn't the fastest...

That's one way of describing my MSI RX 580 GAMING X 8G.

Well they're free to say whatever they want, as long as they know that words have weight, and if confirmed this could easily mean msi won't be making AMD cards anymore. Again, that is if they don't delete or edit that post. Series 200 was also inferior in the the beginning, but well we all know what happened like less than a year later...

This is just a theory on my behalf but I can't help but think the AIB's tied up with Nvidia's GPP are acting this way on purpose now "sooner" as it became news pretty much for the purpose of making Nvidia look bad for the sake of not actually being happy with the GPP. While it's true this makes MSI look stupid, is it really how MSI feels about AMD video cards, like literally they sell out the second they become available, Miners of course gobbling up all available inventory. Or maybe the AIB's are realizing that the products they make are intended for people that like to play video games.. HHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM........................................................................................................ The plot thickens.

I don't think one guy speaks for the whole company and who cares? Even though I would agree with his statement until AMD releases a 1080ti competitor but this doesn't really need to be a story. This just comes off to me as a desperate attempt to generate traffic.

wildly unprofessional conduct regarding products they assemble, advertise, & sell for wide profit margins. lovely.

The 570's, 580's and the Vega 56 and 64 variant GPU's do sell out almost immediately but then MSI here has to handle any refunds (Either directly or via the retailer.) and MSI is selling to retailers for below MSRP prices and bulk quantities which the retailers then sell at 2x to 3x the price due to demand and the shortage of Vega GPU's in particular which the manufacturer isn't seeing any of that extra money. Which I guess is why some of the newer third party models for the Vega cards have a much higher MSRP to begin with but conversely these are then rarely in stock or the retailer is setting a even higher price. (Which well it works I guess since the cards are somehow still selling out and one can only guess how many back orders there must be for some of these models when new shipments are sold out entirely in a few days.) Will be interesting to see what their response will be, probably some PR marketing thing since the way this spreads across social media and other forums is going to affect them a bit.

I think i know why I never had any MSI graphic card - they all had sub par price tag (the best = lowest)

So lets sit back and think about this for a moment. Do you know what GPU's are used in MSI's, and for that matter, ASUS's and Gigabyte's gaming brands? You might get surprised, not only the "fastest GPUs" are inside these branded cards from these AIBs. So, we have for example, MSI GTX 1060 gaming X cards. Are they "the fastest"? No, ofc not. Are Rx 480/580's inferior to them? Ofc not. But still, those are gaming cards. Same is with GTX 1070, 1070ti, and 1080. Up until GTX 1080ti you have a card from AMD side that can compete with Nvidia chips. So to propose such a thing, its stupid. There are some brandings that are really reserved for highest performing GPU's, and mind you, they are already taken by Nvidia 1080ti. Those are: MSI Lightning Z, or gaming X trio, or Gigabyte's Aorus Extreme editions etc. The apologetic writing on behalf of MSI or any other cross-AIB is ridiculous, there is literally no sane explanation why would they remove AMD cards from their gaming brands.

When was the last time when AMD had a better GPU than NVIDIA mid-high range? It was 8 years ago for mid range for high range I honestly don't remember such. I don't know anyone who would buy and AMD card at the moment (if not for mining) so are Nvidia exploiting their dominance yes and it's a free market AMD stepped up with their CPU game if they don't do it with their GPU they should just swtich making APU for consoles and mobile stuff. I really don't see the problem here Nvidia is dominant GPU maker for many years and they can do what they want to keep that place. Free world!

You can't remember what you never knew. The very GPUs you have in signature are proof that you simply newer learnt.

In mid range any AMD card that was a direct competitor to GTX 970 3.5GB because AMD GPU used all of the vram properly

MSI told the truth may I have to remind you that AMD needed Vega 56 to beat 100% the 980Ti after 2 whole years of its release? I won't say anything more. I left the bomb here. AMD is 2 years behind in everything from Nvidia. They are gonna surely give a faster GPU than 1080Ti in 2019. Accept reality. It is never too late. AMD is the cheaper solution. Period.

somebody had to say it and its about time. maybe that will light a fire under AMD's pc gaming department's as5 but they do have the number 1 gaming platform under control. I don't think it would be wrong to say they have the most used gpu for gaming.
