I have https://www.samsung.com/us/business/products/computing/monitors/g-series/cfg73-series-27-curved-lc27fg73fqnxza/ which is a 1MS VA panel(according to samsung), the model before this, C27FG70 came out a year before, also has 1ms response time.
From what I can tell, they can only achieve 1ms MPRT while using strobe mode though? And reviews of strobed mode show too much crosstalk, which means actual GtG response time isn't great. It's worse than the IPS-type 165Hz panels, actually. To me it looks like they found a loophole to be able to claim 1ms response, which is only really possible with TN panels at this time. It seems to be similar to what they used to do with contrast specs, whey they said 1.000.000:1 ratio for a TN :-/

Yeah, the say it is 1ms MPRT but does not match my Benqs 27" BBR in terms of crosstalk and general feel. I know bc I have Benq XL2720Z and my son has C27FG73. BUT...colours and blacks are so much better... I am waiting for some review of new MSI 24 0.5ms response time screens(240Hz). They TN, but ppl reported more vivid colours and better angles, so maybe some IQ improvements to old tech. And they should have blur reduction too.

The 1ms thing is just a lie. Read any review on a serious web site and you’ll see the monitors makers are always lying on that.

I have the FG70, and while the response time is over promoted and probably not technically precise, these VA panels are very solid performers, i never owned an IPS but from TN to this its like another era. 80+Hz on freesync has a noticeable effect on motion perception and comfort. Beyond 95 Hz/FPS motion looks uncanny and only helps ghosting on fast moving pixels.

Isn't it 4ms though? I think it was the same deal with their last VA monitors? They use their own measurements (much like Samsung) to circumvent the industry standard.

This is a Great monitor for the price. The curved monitor came in a good packaging and it's a great value for the price also the monitor comes with great features and great in-game assistance. The only downside I have come across is the stand. It can only angle up and down and it is stuck at the same height. I would just like to move the monitor up and down some times. I highly recommend this monitor to anyone making an AMD build to fully utilize the AMD freesync and 144hz.

Curved screens are becoming a gimmick when applied to small monitors. Only monitors that can make use of the curvature are the larger ultra-wides.

I can only agree to him, if m 271C in the 1/31/2019 has bought to me this MSI Optix, because he is offered at the moment for 299.00 euros and I got this with a friendly trader for 240.00 euros offered. The monitor offers a great picture with very good chromatic circle, the Curved design with 27“ has inspired me immediately, the design as well as the stability on the table are a top. The fact that the monitor cannot be turned and shifted heights, does not disturb me now really. Because I can also have a look from the couch from a film, without I must shift the monitor, on account of the good point of view stability! The OSD Menu lets itself with the joystick badge at the back of the monitor sees User-friendly and simply clear serving. However, one can also put the Gaming-OSD to application of the MSI homepage downloading and the monitor about this software very simply and understandably about the desktop. The fact that the monitor offers with 27“ only one FHD / 1080p resolution, is for me no disadvantage, because the picture neither Pixelated nor the font is in any way krakelig, how often is maintained. And because one can be of use with this monitor also with Pascal or Turing GPU of Nvidia Adaptiv-Sync since January, 2019 and which also functions without problems, one can recommend for the present price with the equipment of the monitor, this without limitation.

MSI seems to have changed the monitor and newer versions should now come with adjustable stand. I'm getting mine today, hopefully it's this newer model with adjustable stand. Source came from an unboxing video. I'll look it up and post it here. EDIT: Ok i read it wrong lol, seems to be only tilt.
