I'm an AMD guy, but regarding thin laptops, Intel is still above AMD (at least the 4000U generation). Peak performance is best on AMD, but battery usage is subpar both on idle and during intensive use. I have yet to see 5000U (Zen 2 or Zen 3) going against Intel's counterparts on equal laptops with equal batteries to make fair comparisons, but I highly doubt that the battery usage problem has been solved. I'd love a silent 7000U with RDNA2 on an HTPC though...
